They can pass the virus, but their viral load is lower. That already decreases the risk. If they were unvaccinated and their viral load was higher, they would probably infect more people, possibly even before the symptoms are detected. And if all the people around them are are also unvaccinated, that increases the risk of spread even more, and also the likelihood of people with serious illness. That alternative to vaccination (which we were facing in early 2020) was for strict social distancing, a.k.a circuit breaker. I don't think we want to experience that again indefinitely.
Fully vaccinated ones showed little or no symptoms but can pass the virus to others. Isnt this make them more dangerous? -

Just 2 weeks ago, OYK said we must return to phase 2 HA to protect the old and vulnerable from DYING!!
From what I read higher cases and death will be expected.
Now he said after National Day, we will start to open up and let’s be mentally prepared to see higher cases and DEATH RATES WILL GO UP. That’s why earlier DH said SG is schizophrenic.
DH asked me rhetorically, you want to 病死 or 饿死, please choose one.
It is a tough battle.

Now that we have a buffet of vaccines available, with mrna and non mrna.. which would be better for below 18yo? The sudden approval of few more doesn't help leh haha.. initially saying not very good then suddenly become ok together with few more.
They are not saying that these other vaccines have now been found to be as effective as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. They are saying \"even though these other vaccines are not as effective, because most people have been vaccinated with higher efficacy vaccines, it's now safe to count this minority as 'fully-vaccinated'\".
Now is differentiation between vacc and non vacc, which vaccine, what efficacy not an issue anymore..am I right?
There is still a differentiation between vaccinated and unvaccinated.
Besides fitting whatever agenda, to normal people like us, is to take which one for below 18yo..mrna is under the national scheme by right that one ba but it is a new thing.. personally for myself after mrna, I feel ok la.. i guess many students are ok too right only have those symptoms as expected after jab.. -

Many Covid cases don't need much care at all - many are asymptomatic or have very mild symptoms, even less than a normal flu. And this was even before vaccination. Now with so many fully vaccinated, the ones needing onsite medical care will be very few.
This is comforting to hear coz I always wondering what will happen when get the covid.
For covid cases. Coz will need professional care I believe. Common illness, can 1 tablet before or after food.. but ..hope will never happen la.MrsKiasu\" post_id=\"2033435\" time=\"1628259394\" user_id=\"43981:

Tele consultation and medicine delivery already started before Covid. -

I know I sound callous, but seriously, people die every day. And the old and vulnerable are more likely to die, whether of Covid or something else. People die in car accidents, in fires, in workplace accidents, etc. despite all the rules that govern such activities, but we don't expect to reduce them to zero. We cannot expect to prevent all deaths.

On the economy and health I don't think go same direction ao what's important is the risk benefits analysis again ba.
But I do have another concern tho, if some countries don't accept our direction then longer quarantine?? Let's see arh. -
The recognition of non-mRNA vaccines is only from a counting perspective right? It is still not covered under the vaccination injury scheme?

I agree with your husband.
Got one news either last week or two weeks ago stated the suicide rate among seniors spiked significantly last year. Keeping them alive but not giving them a life worth living is worse actually. The mental and social cost of prolonged kiasi Covid policies I think are far greater.
Anyway, since we are going down the endemic route, I am mentally prepared that eventually me or my kids might contract Covid. But I guess with the vaccination the impact should be negligible.
