Q&A - PSLE Chinese

Hi Chen Lao Shi,
As for this compo, my girl wrote this way for the plot, can you see if it’s ok?
The boys are brothers and they are often making troubles for their parents. Until One day….
1) the delivery guy came to deliver the goods and knock on the doors but the Neighbour not home, so the guy called the Neighbour
2) the two boys overheard the conversation as they are making their way to playground
3) they decided to play with the box by jumping on it without knowing it’s breakable. When they saw the Neighbour from far, they quickly hide behind their door.
4) it was the Neighbour that returned and was really angry to find the box damaged .
The boys hide behind the doors, both of them are looking worried. (Can’t really see the photo well)
5) the Neighbour decided to call and give a scolding to delivery man. The boys were scared after knowing the trouble they created as they caused someone to be in trouble and the item is very expensive.
6) the parents noticed that the sons are acting strange at dinner, so they found out what had happened. They bring their sons to apologies and promise to pay the damage done. Lesson: they decided not to be mischievous in future and learn the consequences can be bad.

Hi Reenie,
The story plots for the respective picture compositions are fine. For the 2nd one, it will be good if it is mentioned that the boys knew that the items were breakable (as there is a fragile label on the box - in the helping words, there’s also the option 易碎品). In this way, the problem is "enlarged" - i.e. 明知故犯 (as opposed to just being playful/"unintentional"). -

If there's room for improvement on the MCQ components, it's definitely worth drilling over the Sep sch holiday (since these questions constitute 64 out of the 90 marks). Compo wise, just by avoiding 错别字 and grammar mistakes + including slightly more description for actions and feelings should help gain another 2+ marks.

May I know if the picture composition has three characters, the main character is the eldest sister and the others are younger brother and sister, do we only name the eldest sister or need to name three of them? Thank you.

It is alright to name the sister and refer to the siblings as 弟弟 and 妹妹.
