Maybe people all going to Taka atrium to buy mooncakes?

Do the mooncakes stalls allow sampling this year?[/quote]
Not at Atrium, but at B2 Foodhall near DonQ and B1 Taka event space near Florist.

Like last year, no sampling again. I just went this morning and got my mooncakes. Not many choices from 5-star hotels this time. I didn't even see Ritz Carlton, East Ocean, Marriott on duty this morning, even though they're selling on Taka website.

Yea don’t think it is due to mooncake. Mooncake area usually not crowded from what I saw few times, before these few days.

When is Bugis Junction restart business. See if there is any change in crowd. If no change, I think we are possibly on the way of treating covid as flu le.

I was at IKEA Alexandra last weekend. Surprisingly no Q to go in (the Q markers are still there for standby). Guess it hadn’t hit the max capacity limit (whatever it is now). The carpark was near-full but no Q either.

Plenty of people inside browsing, nobody cares about safe distancing. Felt like back to pre-Covid except all wearing masks.

IMM is crowded leh Qs everywhere. Clementi Mall just as crowded. Outside ard MRT nobody bothers abt social distancing anymore. Carefree as if pre-covid days like no transmissible viruses. But entrance to mall very tightly controlled. Hv to wait for clearance before each admission of 10-20 pax & can hear security communication via walk-in talkie number of ppl enters/exit. Feels more relax inside as it’s not crowded inside mall & shopping at supermkt is less stressful.

talking hall at taka is quite packed with those buying hotel moon cakes. those in basement are for overseas moon cakes.

I think as long as we don’t remove our masks, still quite safe.

That said, don’t know why the investigation showed that the BHG Bugis cluster started off with a shopper who brought the virus into BHG. Thought we shop with masks on??

Some shoppers, like people all over the place, do sometimes wear masks improperly - too loose, not covering the nose etc. They will pull them up when reminded, but the damage might already be done. And then there are the private areas like toilets and changing rooms.

The public toilets are located outside BHG.

I think the chances of a shopper not wearing his mask properly to have passed the virus to a BHG staff who is also not wearing the mask properly should be extremely small?

I don’t believe in transient transmission.

It could be the BHG staff changing room. I worked as a dept store promoter before and I used to change in the staff locker room as I didn’t want to take public transport in the promoter uniform. I was free to meet my external friends for lunch, so what makes us think the SA didn’t contract it during lunch or smoking break and brought the virus back to the stuffy changing rooms to infect more colleagues who might remove their mask or touch something there?

Moreover, any STVP or ATP staying at Intercontinental next door could have crossed paths with the superspreader during lunch at Bugis/Bugis+/Albert FC/Liang Seah/Tan Quee Lan.

Bugis is full of PRCs and Msians. There are also many devotees there, as are social butterflies though 4 Middle Rd KTVs had been raided in July. Let’s not forget a Covid case died at Raffles Hospital mid-Aug. Raffles Hospital takes in Covid cases too.
