I've actually shortlisted 2 (unless there's a better suggestion comes up.. )
1) YMCA at Tampines ST 83
2) NTUC at Tampines ST 45
anyone know whether they are good? Any recommendation? :? -
Hiya shkeat
Cool, get to have some daddysβ views too.
Woh, must be hard to see your bb girl only once in a while.
Phantom is absolutely right, its a huge effort to find the right centre for the kiddo. It took us about 10 trips to 3 different centre before our recent move to finally find the right one.
About childcare, my suggestion would be to drop in unannounced during their lunch time(which is normally around 11.30 to 12 noon) and mid morning around 10am to see the situation. Cos those are the best times to see how the teachers/caregivers are to the children. If they are screaming or mad rush around, then its a under-staffed situation, which is always a bad sign. Hygiene is also a big issue to me, if the place smells of urine or stale and stuffy, the floor sticky, windows dusty, its a NO NO. I also always find excuse to use their toilets and asked to see their kitchen where they prepare food for the children.
Thinking about it, the poor kiddo spend about 10 to 12 hours there, which is more than the time you spend with her on your working days. Its worth the effort.
Hope this helps and good luck.
Cheers -

I guess i will have to do a suprise visit to the centre to check it out...

I always bring my child to my own GP, cos I m comfortable with them. But I always prefer younger (than my parents) doctors, especially if they have children themselves. Unless your girl needs special medical attention, otherwise a GP is sufficient. I only brought my boy to pedi in KK, but thats due to his recurring ear infections and allergic rhinitis.Thank you all for the support and advice.
