Err, what happened to my charts?! Never mind...

Someone suggested doing away with masks. Better not lah. Look at the simulation by epidemiologists. If you remove universal masks, I think we must draft all our secondary school Red Cross/St John's Ambulance teenagers to help liao!

I think the MTF forgot to tell us that Singapore is https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/countries-by-density. :nailbite:

Our 3,700 per day is not the same as 3,700 per day in e.g. Malaysia or South Korea as their population density is lower:

Our Reproductive no is higher than many other countries.

I don't think it's that draconian to ban UV from eating in hawker centres, coffeeshops. It's for their own good... But I think it's weird they can't enter malls...not even to take a shortcut after emerging from underground MRT.

Anyway, it doesn't affect me. It may affect those >12yo teenagers who haven't taken their vaccines. They might not be able to enter enrichment centres located within shopping malls. The <12yo tutees have no issue as they are not eligible yet. 🀷

I suppose the 2-pax shopping / dining rule is also slapped on FV because MTF is anticipating more VTL visitors from 11 countries from 19 Oct entering into our shopping malls, especially when many are structurally connected to 5-star hotels.

What worries me is history repeating itself. After the \"Spanish\" flu in 1918-19, came the 2nd world war in 1939-1945. While some may consider that old people dying is a \"good thing\" as it refreshes the population and keeps it \"young\", we forget that old people actually possesses much wisdom about history, having lived through it themselves.

We don't know what will happen in the future, but the world population was 2.3B in 1940 when world war 2 started, and it has now exploded to 7.4B (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimates_of_historical_world_population). It would appear that the Internet affords close communication between people so this allows us to \"tahan\" each other, but recent developments in USA shows how easy it is to hoodwink and galvanise people via the Internet so there seems to be 2 major camps opposing each other there. Will it be possible for people to forget the horrors of wars and go at each others' throats? There's no telling what will happen when food runs out and people start starving.

          Sorry to be so moody...

Chief, I understand where you come from ...I m still at the same camp as you ( if I understand correctly)..lots of things dont understand, find why unable to look at all areas etc etc..but we can't do anything besides following the direction set. Being unhappy asking ourselves too many qns, I can only see 'internal' damage on ourselves and what's more..in this kind of situation, that is what we need to avoid in order to protect ourselves lor.. so I try let go whatever and see the positives that could come out from there and most importantly don't let fear paralyze us lor like what pm says.

Oh....there are camps in this Forum?? I don't know whether I am at the same camp with you or not? But I always believe we can do lots of thing to make Singapore a better society :rahrah: .[/quote]Omg no no no.. not that kind of camps that you may be thinking abt la πŸ˜‚ ..what I meant by camp was more on our preference to the passive or aggressive strategy, something like that.. most of us aunties here just the kids able to make us climb up the wall, what camp can we talk abt πŸ˜†

Some mums took Pfizer for their 1st and 2nd doses, and Moderna for the booster dose.

May I ask if you can share your reasons, pls?
                Thank you.

One of the reasons is coz Moderna is heavier in its dosage per shot?

The 3rd dose for Moderna is 50mcg instead of 100mcg in its 1st and 2nd doses.

Simi camp?? Chiefks talking about US-China supply chain camps or western vs China vaccine camps?

I only know concentration camps we're in now.

Thank goodness we can escape to other holiday camps soon! woohoo! :rahrah:

Now the criterion of 14 days prior departure can incl. our stay in Singapore and/or 1 or more VTL countries. Phew...And now only 2 PCRs on arrival & pre-departure, and no more Day 3 Day 7 PCRs. No more 7-day isolation for some countries, except ~24-36hr until PCR results are out in Singapore.
