Read an article that they will provide a list of stores that are open to the UV public. Not sure where I came across that article.

They should have another OneMap for the unvaccinated to refer to. Who the hell knows which Popular bookstore's GFA is <930 sqm or 10,000 sqft?

Fully vaccinated are also affected (albeit to a lesser extent), cos we must shop in pairs in shopping malls too, lest you be booked by the SDAs. We must arrange via WA to meet up at a certain restaurant and eat in separate tables while shopping separately in a mega mall. \\

Not joking hor! That was what happened to me last Sun (though the rule had not kicked in yet) when I went to the restaurant to join my household members who had reached there first and were already seated in pairs at different tables! Stupid right? 83% still must do this to us... :slapshead:

I know the standalone aircon NLB Main is definitely more than 10,000 sqft but unvaccinated can sit there for hours to read newspapers and books, if they enter within the daily 50% capacity. What an irony.

If they want people to take reponsibility for themselves, then let the unvaccinated make their own decisions. Advise them, frighten them about the consequences, make it as easy as possible for them to get vaccinated if they can, but let them make their choices. It's like telling the elderly to use pedestrian crossings - if they choose not to, do we man every road to stop them?

        Yes.

Unfortunately there are still plenty of elderlies who jaywalk or cycle with little regard to traffic law. But I think most elderlies are sensible enough to follow traffic rule in the interest of self-preservation and those who did not and ultimately paid with their lives are still in the minority and do not strain the first response system.

A more similar analogy would be probably removing speed limit from roads and expressways. There will still be drivers who understand the importance of driving within a reasonable speed but I bet a large numbers would start speeding and causing accidents left and right, overloading the system.

If you stepped back and take a closer look at your directives, you will see just how confusing and conflicting your ardent plans for Covid are. This all came from the almighty edicts.

\"live your live as normal as you can, do not be paralysed by fear\"..\"98% of Covid cases have no or very mild symptoms\" . But now its still 2 people at eateries and at the hawkers, despite rules to bar the unvaxxed from eating in. it's pathetic to see families celebrating budget Children's Day or birthdays of their kids over 2 tables at the hawkers..and no mingling. That is not normal, and we have close to 85% vaxxed status now. imagine, that same family live and stay together, yet cannot be seen together outside. Let 8 ppl back in will ya.

\"No need for hawkers to check on customers status\" (on tv last night), saying they won;t have the time and may not know how to properly check because of their age and digital inabilities. But today, a Minister contradicts it on your newspaper.

Yes, people have a choice to be vaxxed or not, but they don;'t have the right to harm those who are, they have choices too. Keep them away till this blows over. The majority will thank them. You rules of can enter malls or hawkers but cannot, but only if, or when and how...is really messy.

If they ban UV from malls, it’s high time they allowed 5-pax dine-in at mall restaurants for the FV.

For hawker centres and coffee shops, I don’t mind the 2-pax rule for FV, as the UV can still enter to dabao.

Of course UV can also dabao from mall restaurants, but they are waiting at the entrance for pick-up, not queuing right beside my table.

I hope the orange nets and cordon tapes can be a lot tidier and neater. Now our UNESCO-recognised hawker centres look like they are in some a la ‘‘construction site’’ mess in a backward country. Saw some duct taped/cable-tied Safe Entry gateway readers on some wobbly stand or pole. Tsk, 成何体统!

Am I right to say that it is the responsibility of the hawkers and coffeeshop stalls owners to check the vaccination status of the diners? Ridiculous leh, if you ask them to check, does it mean that the responsibilities now lie on their shoulders to make sure all diners are vaccinated.

It’s very shocking that such a policy could be formulated with no proper thinking through on how the policy would be implemented or enforced. If new clusters are formed in coffee shops, does it mean that stall owners are at fault as they didn’t check properly?

Fast and furious...Thailand opening think Msia soon..

BKK also wants to fight for passengers with SIN! 😉
But BKK only has 40+% fully vaccinated. Though their R no is lower due to land size & population density.

                    https://i.imgur.com/KYwT5Lo.png\">

Msia is 70+% fully vaccinated I think. But maybe govt wants to clear the current wave of unvaccinated/partially vaccinated seniors first. If they let Msians and Singaporeans come in and out so early, plus those thousands of VTLs, I think the system may collapse.

There's a possibility that some Malaysians may not come back anymore after they return home to reunite with their loved ones! Some might quit their jobs here, and the service/ F&B/ mfg sector may see some attrition.

I think I read just few days ago..LW ? can't remember who says it..something like land and air arrangements will have some diff.. agree system may collapse but knowing how careful they with the beds I think should be in quite controlled ways. I find we locals very guai le.. say stay at home we stay at home.
