Don't know if MOE has changed the format, but it was all MCQ for the selection test (2nd test) three years ago.

From my son’s account, for EL, there was Open Close passage, and for EL GA | there were some fill in the blanks kind of Short Ans Qs.

If i am not wrong, for Math ~ there are problem sums too. For Math GA, i think all Mcqs.[/quote]

Oh sounds like… for the “fill in the blanks”, options are not given? Is it grammar or vocabulary?
