Me... but I'm not dying to have that booster shot
Anybody age 50 to 59 whose 2nd dose was about 6 mths ago, yet to receive the SMS, but managed to walk in to get the booster dose?
Just waiting for my SMS... or not... -

My colleague. She's 58, had her 2nd dose in May (don't know exact date), so about 5 mths ago. She happened to be at the polyclinic for a regular checkup last week, walked in and asked about the booster, and they gave it to her on the spot. She hadn't got the SMS yet. She's travelling in early Dec, so she decided she should get it before she travels. I think she should have waited till mid-Nov so that the efficacy would be at it's highest when she starts her trip.

Hearsay those age 50 to 59 who have yet to receive the SMS, can simply walk in for the booster dose.

Am not dying to have this dose but just want to get it done since it is inevitable.
It is clear that despite vaccination is not mandatory, the current measures in place are strongly encouraging vaccination. -

Tks slmkhoo for sharing. This means it is possible for age 50 to 59 to walk in to get the booster dose w/o the SMS.

My husband and I plan to wait till next year to get our boosters (we had the 2nd dose in early May). No real reason to hurry as we aren't travelling and we don't have any underlying conditions, etc. Also, we took Moderna, and the effectiveness apparently doesn't fall off as quickly. If we get a chance to travel... that would make us keener to get the booster. I also feel that with so many in the world not even getting their first shot, those who are healthy, and with no strong reason to get a booster, should hold back from using up so many doses.

Hey, me too! But I think they are going to call me sometime next month. Early booster means earlier expiry. Soon they will need booster for booster shots

Cannot understand why people don't want to take in the booster shot when they can now just walk in to take it. I got the booster immediately when I was able to get it, never care whether there is already six months from the last dorse or not. The vaccination protection is not a passport, it is the only way to protect ourselves from Covid 19 infection. How can we take it as passport not expiry yet!!

Whether you are going overseas or not, under the present spike of Covid 19 cases in Singapore, everyone has certain chances of getting Covid 19 infection and why not to take the booster fast to better protect yourself from developing severe symptoms.
Just think of our essential sector workers, they work so hard every day to save Singaporeans life and you even don't want to help them by taking the booster fast to better protect yourself.
There is no symptoms after taking the booster even my arm was not pain this time.....no fever....could play boardgames until midnight and go office to work on the same day. -
Lol. Maybe itβs because I trust the science, so Iβm quite happy with my current situation, thank you. Iβm not a anti-vaxxer; just that Iβm not a fan of "booster shots". Will update you all when I get the SMS.

Personally, I think regardless taking booster or not, important to maintain your immune system as well. Itβs your immune system that will have to work hand in hand with the vaccine. So remember to take your fruits for Vit C, if not then Redoxon effervescent drink daily.

Taking the jab doesnt mean u wont get covid.
And if u were infected despite vaccinated, there is a chance u will die.
Hence, what is the logic, hurry or purpose?
