      PotatoFather\" post_id=\"2010554\" time=\"1609602608\" user_id=\"177316:

This is a feedback on Hua Cheng's latest unfair fee policy. We paid for a full term of fees early in Oct 2020. It cost us 600+ in total. In Nov, due to my child's learning difficulty we had to hire a LD trained tutor 1:1 and it was more expensive for us. When we informed HC that we needed to withdraw after 2 years of HC lessons, they told us the fees are 100% not refundable. I would like to appeal to HC to reconsider this stance and urge parents to speak out on such practices. Lessons have not started and we are penalised for this situation. Any parents have overcame this before?
Most tuition centers have such a policy, where fees paid are not refundable. The only case you have, is if they did not explain their withdrawal policy to you BEFORE you sign up. If they did explain to you, and you still went ahead to sign up, then they did no wrong.

I think the most “unfair” practice is the collection of registration fees. Esp now, when registration is mostly done online by the parents filling up an online form. When it used to be hardcopy form, maybe it took another manpower to transfer the info onto their computer system. But no longer, so registration fees should not be charged.

            Hi mummies,

My boy is P3 this year and wanted to enroll him with HC @ Bt Timah. Any feedback/review of the Bt Timah branch as I know the mgt is different from Thomson Plaza (HQ)?

Hope our last 6 years experience at hua cheng will

Help Mummies who are undecided which Chinese center to pursue for their child. My kid comes from a mainly Eng speaking environment and simply wouldn’t speak mandarin at all. We enrolled him in hua cheng since K2 and up to p4, my child was able to score A and A* for his Chinese and even was offered to choose Hcl subsequently. Like what another parent shared in previous post, hua cheng follows the moe syllabus closely and I never had to spend time with him with school tingxie because huacheng would have covered it. The Teachers are also very nice and prompt if you have questions. While my kid is very uncomfortable with the language, I don’t ever hear any complaints attending classes. It was amazing to us. So we have been quite contented at hua cheng. It may not be as rigourous as Wang(we went for two years concurrently w huacheng for Ccw and the experience wasn’t good. They pitch it too high and kids can’t cope or don’t enjoy, at least in our experience). BUT- P5 Chinese took a huge leap in terms of difficulty and suddenly my child’s CL grades dropped and here I am wondering if hua cheng curriculum is still enough for my kid. But then again, P5 is known to be tough across all subjects. Nonetheless, at this moment, I will take the leap of faith, and continue at hua cheng. Hope this helps.

That’s good. By the way, is CL a 3rd language to you or your family?

                        Hi parents of HC,

Do your children currently attending lesson at Oasis Terrace? Can provide insights/feedback about them and the teachers?

Is there a referral code to provide to them if we decided to enrol at HC and what is the benefit of the referral code?

                        Thank you in advance
