If he likes Lit, he should opt for Pure Lit, imho.

Thanks!! He’s still thinking whether to do Triple Science though (with 1 humanity). Anyone knows what’s the criteria to do Triple Science, other than getting above 70% for maths and science? Eg. Need to obtain A1/A2s for all other subjects? (Since triple science is typically for the top xx%?)

        Old school… but
Triple science isn’t for the top xx% anymore, and few top xx% will want to do triple science. You will find it very easy to get into triple science (and with very little benefits to show for at the end of the day).

I think so too! May not need to do triple science nowadays anymore. But now I’m worried that his grade are not good enough for him to do the double science + double humans combi that he wants……

If you don't mind, maybe you can PM me about this? As far as I am aware of, I don't think your son will have any problem qualifying for Double Science + Double Humanities combi.

Usually, the school looks at the Maths and Science results first, then the results of the Humanities subject that your son wants to take should he opts for Triple Science. Eg, if your son opts for Elective Geography, the school will look at his Sec 2's Geography results.

May I know the standard of the Chinese Orchestra in CCHM? Is it demanding? How about their standard?

                TIA.

Most of our leaders major in Humanity. So it’s not true top brains opt for science heavy learning path.

If you are going for JC route, Humanity subject is a compulsory one in L1R5. Every else being equal, it is wiser to take 2 humanity subjects instead of only 1, so you have to luxury to choose the better O level grade between the 2, instead of no choice of 1 subject

I suppose you can give the school a call to ask questions. The impression I have for the school is the staffs care for the students. But if you are referring to pro supports, better to give the school
                      a call and ask.
