Hence vaccination really helps in making the symptoms less serious.
My sample size is not large - but everyone I know who caught Covid had symptoms, and typically, much worse than a normal bout of flu. Loss of taste and smell - this part is not painful - some did have bad fevers, chills and aches. However, these did go away. The down time tends to be one to two weeks.
One colleague who caught Covid was among the 1st batch of cases in Singapore (church cluster), and that case was hospitalized for a long time. This was pre-vaccine period. -

This is the message all have been getting - 98.6% has mild or no symptoms.
I think we are also protecting ourselves. It is not true that we only get mild flu like symptoms. There is loss of smell/taste (which we do not know it will take how long to recover) and we do not know if we will suffer from long COVID. We should not undermine the effects of COVID.justbehappy\" post_id=\"2043129\" time=\"1634779683\" user_id=\"10329:
Now the fully vaccinated ones are facing restrictions in order to protect the unvaccinated ones. Is this correct?
https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/health/the-good-and-the-bad-in-spores-fight-against-covid-19-ong-ye-kung
Yeah. I quoted from the article,
“
2. More patients with mild or no symptoms
There is now a higher percentage of infected individuals with no symptoms or mild symptoms, said Mr Ong.
About 98 per cent of infected individuals used to have mild or no symptoms. But in the last 28 days, this has increased to 98.6 per cent.
The remaining 1.1 per cent of cases need oxygen supplementation, 0.1 per cent require time in the intensive care unit, and 0.2 per cent have died.”
In his definition, “Mild or no symptoms” means
no need oxygen supplementation, not in ICU, not dead
You can be having high fever, no voice, rashes, whole body ache, no smell, no taste, etc. you will still fall under mild symptoms. -
It will happen to most of us sooner or later. There is no other way out of this, it seems. So personally, I vote for sooner.

Thank you for sharing. Earlier I thought mild symptoms means it’s just cough/sneeze for a few days.

@star, I would think it’s protecting the whole healthcare systems from further strains. Not enough isolation beds. FV can also end up in ICU -

I also think mild means cough/sneeze/sore throat over a few days which was not unusual before covid.

In the past, we read countries faced the risk of a collapsed healthcare system. Now we are at risk too. -

Ack?! :yikes: :scared:

Now I'm scared. Looks like I've got to learn to live in a world without smell or taste...
May I ask how how long it lasts in your case? -
If a family member receives a HRW, what will happen to the rest of the family members living in the same household?
-
Now can travel to countries with VTL with us already… restrictions are more on us staying in the country, am I correct?
Only 2 visitors for home visits a day? At least for grandparents can meet up.
