Though I may be more at the conservative side, I actually don’t quite bothered at how many ppl allowed to dine in.coz it is up to whoever wants to take more risk. Like say we choose stay at home more so we just stay at home.


But guess now the concern is the healthcare system ba. If all behave well during this period…maybe can have Christmas/CNY celebrations, who knows right…

No need to pay MTF chairmen million dollar salary each. Anyone also can be MTF chairman cos the outcome is still the same. Just passively wait for all the vulnerable persons to contract covid and die.

Just April this year, we were listed as NUMBER 1 in the Bloomberg covid resilience table for doing so well in managing Covid. Someone took over MOH in May, and now we are grouped in the HIGHEST covid risk country category by US for travel by its citizens.

In the print copy, which differs from ST Online's version, it seems that OYK actually meant 67% of BOTH Covid-ICU + non-Covid ICU beds are occupied.

I also think MTF might be over-exaggerating. Didn't OYK say in Parliament that we could set up 1,000 ICU beds for Covid purpose? We currently have 200 and only 67 are occupied.

If HCWs are allowed to be rostered for overseas leave, are you sure MTF is not frightening UV people to get vaccinated and FV to be bolstered asap? My specialist doc/dentist friends in non-infectious diseases practices don't seem to be affected by this surge...

Pardon me for asking , if you dont mind sharing the below , want to get a picture, even though each body is different.
How long from start of symptoms till you recovered? And the severe symptoms, how long did they last?
Hope the feeling of fatigue, aches is all gone fully.
Was it home recovery or in any of the facilities?

I know of 4 in my friend circle ( in US/India) who still have extreme fatigue/joint/pain/ headaches/brain fog after covid ( all got late last year, early this year - pre vaccination) . They cant even get back to 80% normal routine. The ones who got later post vaccination are assymptomatic/very mild sore throat/cough ( tested as close contact was positive) . Imho, vaccination is helping the severity of Covid19

I took Moderna, my husband took Pfizer. My symptoms are milder than his, his earlier symptoms included high fever 38.x and bad sore throat such that he said even swallowing air was painful. My fever was 37.x and sore throat was mild too. Our fever, sore throat, fatigue, body aches are more or less gone after 1+ weeks. My concern is actually our loss of smell and affected taste buds, which we do not know when they will return, or will they ever return :((

We are both on home recovery programme.

Covid in its initial form can possibly be tackled with current vaccine. Don’t think our current vaccine can fight the onslaught of oncoming stronger variants & we’ll be kept on our toes (like running non-stop on our treadmill) to fight Delta, MU & now UK’s AY.4.2 and the British are getting real tired of lockdowns after lockdowns. Not sth we ask for but that’s the enemy & the war we’re fighting, so determined to bring human race down to our knees & caused us to fight with each other & those who hv the money, resources & leadership. Need a lot of grit for this long haul. Just when we think we can start live & travelling, we get strong covid waves hitting home. If we’re tired, think of those in the frontline facing heavy covid loads daily & hv to keep alert to disinfect themselves carefully even if tired & sleepy, not forgetting how they miss they families.

Given that ART positive people on home recovery may not report in anymore, and who knows how many asymptomatic people never test themselves, then unless our vaccines are totally useless in preventing transmission and infection, I would say an educated guess will be around 10,000 people get exposed to and come into contact with the virus every day if not more.

Am very sure there're +ve cases among the 17K+ HRP persons recovering at home, and many more +ve non-HRP persons (such as the WFH contingent) going around.
