Imagine alumni who have recently bought a place not anticipating the new pri school distance priority…

Hi, I have a place within 1km of Taonan/Ngee Ann Primary and would like to rent out the unit to interested parents.
How do parents normally look for such places to rent? Also, would they consider renting 1 room to be nearer and do PV? -
Hi parents, may i ask if father and mother can have different addresses on IC? If so during registration we only need to use 1 of the parent’s address to register? Or both parents address must be the same. Thanks

Hi Parents
please advise me. I am looking to use my parent’s address for registration in Phase 2C, understand she will fall under the 1 to 2km group. The balloting history for the school is 0.30 likely for 1 to 2km. If my girl does not get in, I think there are none in the area I am keen on and will thus fall back to my own address and sch in the vicinity. I have this question:
1. Are we allowed to just swop address to use at say, at Phase 2C I use parent address. If i do not get a seat, i use my own address at Phase 2C(S)?
Thank you -

Yes. You are allowed to swap addresses between Phases as long as you commit to staying put for 30 months from 30 June. But I think you need to settle the caretaker's address asap as it is a convoluted process that goes through lots of vetting.

Not too sure if we are allowed? On MOE website the 30-month stay requirement is from 30 June 2021 for this year.

\"MOE recognises that some families are unable to remain at the address used for registration for the entire duration of the child's primary school studies. Even so, a child who gains priority admission through their distance category is required to reside at the address used for registration for at least 30 months from the start of the P1 Registration Exercise on 30 June 2021.
If the 30-month stay condition is not met, MOE reserves the right to transfer the child to another school with vacancies, as the priority admission to the first school was based on the declared address used for registration.\" -

That notice is for parents AFTER they have gotten their kid in the school. The user is asking what happens BEFORE they can secure a place for their child.

Understood, correct me if I'm wrong, we need to apply for the school using our registered address as on 30 June 2021. Meaning even if you change your address after 30 June 2021 you can't use it? Also even though the notice is for after getting in it's telling us you need to use the address as on 30 June 2021. Again my interpretation may be wrong.

I'm confused. Are you saying you need to register 1 YEAR before P1 Registration? That's new to me.
