(B) The boy will not cancel the party unless it rains.
There is a question I am unclear. Maybe anyone here can comment on it:
Should the answer be :
(A) The boy will cancel the party unless it rains.
OR
(B) The boy will not cancel the party unless it rains.
- this is more logical because usually if it rains, people will have to cancel (outdoor) parties.
- I can’t think of a scenario for situation A, where he will definitely cancel the party in good weather, but if it rains then party goes on? What kind of party would that be? Dancing in the rain party? -
Maybe the boy likes rain… lolz.
But (B) is correct. -
A rain party perhaps. Food for thought.

Should be (4) put through because it is essential to get through the recommendations. \"put up\" only puts up the recommendations without considering whether they will get through or not.

I would go with (1) passed up and (3) put forth.
Are these from actual papers or one of the Vocab MCQ Explained books? -
The qns were passed to me by a friend, supposedly from a “PhD Edu” assessment book (or is it enrichment centre?)…no answers provided.
I should probably get a phrasal verbs guide book but too lazy…
