Tougher to go travelling alr. Gotta wait abit longer for freedom travel. We got lifted off European travel curbs list

S'pore removed from list of countries for which EU member states should lift travel curbs
      https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/spore-removed-from-list-of-countries-for-which-eu-member-states-should-lift
Lol. I read until I got cross-eyed. Talk about double negatives. Why don't they just say Singapore is now banned from EU? Easier, right?

Not ban I think…it is a recommendation, not legally binding so up to authorities of respective countries to implement… it was mentioned some of these countries open up first…maybe not much change?

My German friend who has been working in Singapore for 3 years, went back to Germany last week, if the EU just say Singapore is now banned, then how could my German friend return home?

There are many people travelling between Singapore and EU countries every day and therefore cannot just say \"Banned\".

            https://www.channelnewsasia.com/singapore/covid-19-mis-c-rare-inflammatory-syndrome-children-icu-2301481
- Running a fever of 38.8 degrees Celsius, Ali's temperature subsided after taking ibuprofen, a fever medication. But his temperature rose again, consistently staying above 38 degrees Celsius.

            - Other symptoms, including involuntary jerking in his sleep, bruised hands and feet, and stomach pain soon appeared.

            - Five members of the family - Mr Mohamed Azmi Lendang and his wife Ms Cacanindin, together with Ali and his two elder siblings - had contracted COVID-19 in September and recovered. The youngest daughter, aged one, and their domestic helper did not contract the disease.

            - Doctors diagnosed him with multi-system inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C), a rare condition that affects some children in the weeks following a COVID-19 infection.
https://i.imgur.com/gUVObQB.jpg\">

Those who praises China’s zero covid policy should read this https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2021/11/05/1052811962/one-chinese-town-has-started-a-fiery-online-debate-about-chinas-zero-covid-polic

I can’t imagine if I have 2 children aged 4 and 14 years old and I have to suddenly leave them at home alone.

Some quarantine r’qmts load with PCR & 14 days’ quarantine, whereas previously it can be cleared within hours of negative tests & free to travel into yr European destination. Altho we’ve received VTL, u’ll soon discover some countries only permit family reunion, business travels or returning foreign students & not as yet tourism. Check the ICA for VTL details.

Ban, restrictions, whatever. The fact is, we are no longer considered as a \"clean\" city. How does this feel after all these years living in the most \"open\" and sparkling \"clean\" city that the government is so eager to project us as? It's sad.
