I believe it’s because the boys (P3-P6) have their CCAs on Fridays from 7.30-9.30am. So the lesson time is pushed back, making the school day end later.
Hi can I check why does school end at 3.30pm on fridays? Does it apply for whole primary school?
For the P1 and P2s, they don’t have CCAs yet, but during the same time slot, they will have their PAL activities (read more at: https://eresources.nlb.gov.sg/infopedia/articles/SIP_2019-01-28_140734.html)
So the 3.30pm dismissal timing applies for the whole school, although the school may have made special arrangements for the Muslim boys, if they need to go to the nearby mosque for Friday prayers. Please check with the school directly if you need to find out. -
Ahh... my alma mater.
I've spent 10 years in here but I don't remember going back to the school since 1984.
I may have gone back to certify some copies of my report card, I think, but its still so long ago.
When I was lecturing a few years ago, I remember asking the age of my students and I think the oldest was born in 1995! :faint: -

I’m just looking at different school to send my boy to in 2023. SAJS is near my house.
But I don’t know much about this school.
Anyone with current or past experiences to share about the culture in this school?
How are the Teachers and students like?
Would you strongly recommend for people to send their kids there? -
Hi Parents, My son will be registering under phase 2C this year.
I am wondering if we would be able to register him under my parents address who lives within 1km.
He will be staying with my parents after school some days as we are both working. However can we still register him for the student care service ? -

Using a caregiver's address
You must make a declaration of alternative child-care arrangement for your child’s P1 registration if you want to use the address of a caregiver living within 2km of your preferred school.
You can make a declaration if you meet both of these conditions:
1. You and your spouse are both working full-time at the time the declaration is made.
2. Your child is under the care of a grandparent or a parent's sibling.
How to make a declaration
The declaration can only be made online, and you will need to have a valid Singpass with 2-Factor Authentication (Singpass 2FA). Find out how to register for a Singpass 2FA if you don't have one.
One parent is required to submit the online declaration form and upload the relevant supporting documents.
Declaration period: From 9am on Monday, 28 June 2021, to 4pm on Thursday, 5 August 2021
Processing time for declaration to be processed: Please allow at least 3 working days for your application to be processed.
You are strongly encouraged to make your declaration early. You must receive the approval email from MOE before you can register your child for P1 using the caregiver's address.
If you need help with the declaration, you can refer to this guide(636KB).
Documents required
You must upload all of these documents when making the declaration:
- NRICs of both parents.
- NRIC of caregiver — child's grandparent or parent's sibling.
- Documents showing the relationship of parent and caregiver (such as the birth certificate of a parent, to prove the relationship to the child's grandparent, or the birth certificate of the parent's sibling, to prove the sibling relationship).
You must be prepared to produce additional supporting documents, upon request.
If balloting is required
If the caregiver’s address is within 2km of the school, your child will be balloted together with those of the same citizenship living between 1km to 2km of the school. This is regardless of how close the caregiver’s address is to the school. -
Hi, if we use caretakers’s address for phase 2A within 2km but failed to get into school of choice, can we change address to parent’s NRIC address for subsequent phases?
