      Those friends coming back have young kids who already took their vaccinations in US.
      Some people do seem to think the holiday is worth the risk, even if the kids are unvaccinated. But I think most would only want to travel with older kids who have been vaccinated. For me, the risk of getting sick on holiday is part of the concern, but I'm more concerned about being stuck in a foreign country for ages if a family member gets sick! Too stressful, and very expensive.[/quote]
      Yes so far those who we know going on holidays with primary school kids are really those ultra high income families..with the much higher travel costs now, guess family travel now and in the near future will be more for such families, rather than the ‘average’ family as we have been used to.

        Just got my mouthwash. It comes in a small bottle and I have put it against a remote control for comparison. Is it worth the trouble for getting it? Well... I needed the exercise 😆
        Tks Chief for sharing. Am collecting the Mouth Gargle tmr for my family and my dad.
        I will collect since it is free 🙂

            Er, cannot compare with Listerine cos Listerine is not a medication.

            The free one from Temasek is strong, a type of medicine.

            Should compare with Betadine gargle, contains PVP-Iodine too. Watsons $6.80 for 120 ml:

              Actually, is the free (ie given) Mouth Gargle suitable for all including seniors?

                I edit my earlier to post to add this Betadine link.

                It is not mouthwash to anyhow use for nice-smelling mouth (that’s what Listerine is mostly for).

                It is to kill bacteria & Covid if you have sore throat.

                  Is the free Mouth Gargle meant to be used only when we have a sore throat ? I am thinking of giving it to my old dad to ask him to gargle for his mouth hygiene.

                    Hm, interesting qn. For such expensive stuff, I normally only use it when I feel my throat is ticklish/sore. For general oral hygiene (kill teeth bacteria that cause bad breath) I just rinse with Listerine (cheaper).

                    But I found this on Temasek Foundation website:

                    “How to Use the Mouth Gargle?

                    We may gargle up to 2-4 times a day whenever we feel a sore throat coming, or for general oral hygiene.

                    We may gargle with 15 ml or one capful of the mouth gargle for about 30 seconds. Spit the solution out after gargling, and do not swallow.

                    Please consult a doctor before using any PVP-I mouth gargle or throat spray if you are:

                    pregnant or breastfeeding;
                    below six years old [2] ;
                    allergic to PVP-I or iodine products;
                    having thyroid issues; or
                    using products containing mercury.
                    Please consult a doctor immediately if:

                    you have any discomfort or allergic reaction when using the mouth gargle; or
                    your sore throat or other symptoms persist for more than 2 days, or worsen.
                    As manufacturer instructions vary, residents should refer to the leaflets enclosed with their mouth gargle for more details.”

                      If this Mouth Gargle is to be used only when there is sore throat, then it shld be considered as a medicine.

                      Now I worry if I shld give it to my dad to use.

                        I see the pic is a small bottle…I asked my relative if they want to include mine in the collection on same day for their usage.
