The other thing to figure out is whether ESIS is AL5 or AL6. If it is AL5, there’s a decent chance the COP for some of the most popular schools will drop an AL level (i.e. AL5 instead of the indicative level of AL6). If it’s AL6, the unknow will be whether the ESIS cohort is larger than it was in prior years (previously you could draw a line at exactly 260, 261, etc. Now, need to include everyone in AL6, which may include a larger number of students).
HMT and Third Language are fixed at AL8, so we won’t be able to glean exactly where the Top 10% is this year.

Sorry, still not very clear about the poll. So you only want the AL score to be reported? The idea is so that we can have a gauge of the reported distribution of our sample? What is the point?
I think a sample size of above 1000 responses should be good enough and hopefully they are not skewed to only parents aiming for Top 4.
The poll will give a % distribution of AL scores and parents can use as a guide when estimating the chances of their secondary school choices for their child/children.
Cumulative %
~3% : ESIS
10%. : IP

For simplicity, we assume slightly less than half of the PSLE cohort will be in the range AL 4-16. If the cumulative total % exceeds 50% for this range (i.e. overall the cohort does well), we may have to adjust the indicative COP by 1 AL for all secondary schools since
