Just to add, chinese is an important language now and in future due to rise in China, I believe all kids should take effort to master the language. MY younger DD in NYGH, there is an Ang Mo student, in GEP class, her chinese is so good that her chinese compo is listed under their annual publication of best compo selection. We chinese should strive to master the language. That Ang Mo student is the younger DD of Jim Roger, the investment guru. Her bigger DD had already progressed into HCJC year 1.

Agree about the importance of Chinese... same as what I have been telling my kids.
Jim Roger's younger DD is in class 111 or 112? Students in those 2 classes are all aiming for MSG = 1.00.

My DD said it is 103, 203 next year. She said 101, 112 are elective program/talent prog classes, 102 and 103 are pure GEP students who DSA in. For those GEP students who got in through PSLE score , same as them in normal classes total 8 classes.

She uses 小蜜蜂 as her chinese written name! Her english name is short formed Bee Roger, her bigger sister in HCJC is called Happy Roger.

International school fees cost more annually than a normal person’s annual salary, not many can afford.

Just need PSLE AL score 20 (Express stream) to go international school.

              You are absolutely correct!!
There was a couple of KSP “rallies” this year on this topic. So unnecessary and misleading.

Simple logic need not be over-complicated. Tscore is dead. Killed. Buried. No resurrections. No possible haunting of AL scores.

              Peace. Good nite

Totally agree. Kept seeing Tscore in this forum. Why keep equating AL to Tscore? :scratchhead: Time to move on. :imcool:

understanding the correlation ship to t-score and AL COP will help you to determine the level of risk in balloting using historical T-score COP patterns and also to determine the possible pool of students vying for the same place in a particular school. And this help parent in making well-informed decision on the choice order. For those not involved in S1 posting this year, this will of course be of no meaning or purpose

They are quite famous in NYGH because ang mo wear white uniform. Not a common sight in chinese school.

My friends’ dd scored AL20 and their stay in the Upper Bukit Timah.

Nearest school is Assumption English School. Is the school good?
                      How’s about Jurongville Secondary School?
                      Or any suggestion ?
Grateful for anyone’s guidance. Thank you.

They lived and breathed in chinese as they had a live-in private Beijing accented chinese tutor for many years. How to compare Hahaha.
