      Thanks for the suggestion!

I'll do the emphasizing as per your example and not deliberately test him.

When he starts to talk, will definitely update. ๐Ÿ˜„

I'm the 3rd child in my family...also the youngest...& the only daughter.

Many would think that my parents must be trying for a daughter...so I should be the favourite child... :please:

I thought so too...till my mum disclosed the full story...

          I was an accident! :stupid:

My parents had wanted to stop at 2 & my mum even went for an ops to 'close shop'...but somehow my mum still conceived again the 3rd time...it was not me, coz my mum had a miscarriage...thereafter, the doc encouaged my mum to try again...so I was in fact the 4th child.

Now as a mother of 2...I also hoped to 'close shop'...at the same time really worried if I'll have an 'accident' like my mum...
          :xedfingers:

My reasons for stopping at 2:
          1) No other family members or relatives helping me to care for my gals, so alot of $$ is spent to get bbsitter/infant care :moneyflies:
          2) Attention...difficult to split among 3 kids...2 just right...hubby take care of 1, me take care of the other...alternate days we swopped :snuggles:

There is a interesting observation. Everytime I tell ppl I've 3, they would ask how many girls and boys. When I said 2 girls and boy, they would be like \"Is the boy the youngest???\" Well, the boy is in the middle. How ideal to have 1 of each so what prompted the 3rd chld? This was recently asked by a China colleague.

My 3rd child was indeed an accident. Till date I still don't understand how it happened  However, she is very diff from her siblings. Definitely \"brighter\" in our views so we come to a conclusion that it's god's will for us to have her. In addition, each child is different.

Though on the practical side, I think having 2 is more than enough given that we are both working, we do not have so much time for all. To me, quality time is not good enough. Quantity counts.

Wow, I really envy you all have 2 or 3 wonderful children at home. I only have 1. Many is definitely better. Some might think that money is flying, but when they are older, they have more siblings and someone they can turn to.

Think, when we are old, they will be having friends and telling and sharing ideas more when they dont turn to us. Siblings are the ones that will be closer to them and also prevent them from mixing the wrong company.

I wanted to have more butโ€ฆ too bad. 1 is better than none. Now that I am older and more matured, I regretted having only 1. I focused too much in my career. Now have career, lonely boy.

                Hi San76,

I am the only child. I never missed having a sibling since young ๐Ÿ˜„

However in my hubby's family, he has 4 sisters and he is the only son. So now I end up with 4 sisters as well ๐Ÿ˜„ My parents would join our family event with all my sils and we would go on family trip together. Simply becoz I am the only child.

One of my cousinswas afraid to have only 1 child. This was because she witnessed that when another of her cousin's parents passed away, that cousin was alone handling all matters with no one to rely on as she was the only child. That prompted my cousin to have 2.

I think I was lucky that my sils are easy going type and our relationship as a family is amicable. I also know my hubby is dependable so if something like that happen one day, I am not facing it alone.

But it's true as the only child, I have to be alot more responsible. No one else will be responsible for my parents except me. This is good seeing how those with more than 1 kid try to push the responsiblities to other siblings. I need to plan for my parents and take care of them etc...

                  MMM, Thanks.

I am just looking at those have more kids. When I drive or travel, I always see parents pushing and dragging their kids to walk faster or with elder kids running across without their parents while their parents are holding to another toddler. So cute and so fun. Hmmm, only envy. Some will have problem raising them.

Just wondering what will I be if I have more??? Fun or stress or ???
Just share ideas and chat here. Seems relax here with you parents around.

My reason for stopping at two??? Our very tough education system and expensive tuition just so your kids do not fall behind in class.

                    More kids = less time for kids/self = less $ for holidays/retirement.

Sadly, it always boils down to $ and time.

You have 2 to play around. $ is not everything, when you are old like me then you will regret having so few kids. I was too stubborn when I was younger and only wanted title, recognition and high flyer. Now, if I were to have another 1, the age gap will be too far. Now my son is in P1.

More kids= More fun= More laughter.

                      More money= lonely

Treat them like your friends and play with them. Though sometimes you will look childish but they will enjoy.

Happy kid= better result in study

With tution to enhance their studies plus happy. They will excel. This is what I am doing for my son.
