Not at all. GEP does not have special bonus points at all. Read within these forums there are cases of many Geppers who cant meet the cutoff points or DSA (academics) too. GEP does not mean confirm will do very well in PSLE (although most will). More concerning is those who did special prep for GEP, which may inflate their abilities. These kids could struggle in GEP as well as PSLE syllabus.

If kid gets accepted to GEP, seriously do consider to accept, with main intent for the development of the kid, in an enhanced programme.
Thanks for your reply. I initially thought GEP is the shortest route to get into the Rafflesian schools as I know many Geppers are there.

This article on GEP isn't new, but is still a good read for parents who are waiting for the Round 2 results. Hope it helps to clear some doubts as well.

PSLE result still the ultimate...So whether the child is in GEP or mainstream...PSLE result is still what they concern and as pre entry to good secondary school (if that is a concern) .So do consider if the environment suits the child to score well. Anyway top PSLE scorer may not necessarily from GEP.

By tonight? That's odd. Does that mean they intend to work OT just to send out the emails to the parents? πŸ€”

I was just randomly googling about people talking about selection results and saw this website. (In Chinese!)
                    https://www.shicheng.news/v/GAjEy
That's the legendary brown envelope in the above URL.

But since it is going to be email this round, we may not get to see it.

Maybe it’s both - notification by email and then receipt of big brown envelope in the mail next week πŸ™‚

Unlikely tonight. Some of the students who missed the earlier round 2 dates are having their test today and tomorrow.
