That's the bare minimum. Basic tier coverage required by ICA I think? Most travellers will get coverage for medical expenses incurred during overseas & emergency medical evacuation & repatriation for up to 200k-350k.
You are back from your holiday..before or just at start of Omicron. Lucky you!

        How much is the insurance?

I think we just got numb to it. As we will also get numb to Omnicron or any other Transformer robots they throw at us. Still waiting to hear how dangerous this new strain is.

Hmm got the update on Omicron during the trip, but we didn't really care cos not much info on it yet... πŸ˜“

Was quoted by AIG-SIA $100+ per pax for the International region. Could be lower for ASEAN & Asian region I am sure, if u r thinking of visiting China or Msia in the coming wks.

Main thing to eyeball is the C19 quarantine allowance, as in how much for how many days, exact policy wording, i.e. definitions of ''quarantine'', ''hospital confinement'', ''isolation'', ''hospital quarantine'', \"travel companion'', ''close relative'', child protector clauses, travel disruption/ travel curtailment/travel postponement sections. Medical coverage section was kinda unimportant for those who alr took 2/2 or 3/3 booster shots as the chance of being confined in a hospital / govt medical facility was remote at that point in time. EU has also adopted home recovery scheme, so if infected, u r to confine in a suitable hotel for 10-14 days, dep on country's health authority's advice. Hence, AIG-SIA's $200 per day x 14 days should suffice if u book a hotel nearer to the airport and during non-peak period (Nov).

So if you fly and land in a foreign country and then found out you have caught the virus when you are still in the airport, what happens? Does the insurance cover all your medical expenses overseas?

Hi, does anyone know if cruise to nowhere is considered travelling outside Singapore? Or considered a staycation?

                      Hi there,

I saw this online, but I’m not sure if it’s authenticity.

                      You are leaving Singapore

Despite being marketed as 'Cruise to Nowhere', you will be in fact cruising out to international water (Malacca Straits).7 Jan 2021

Thanks zeal mummy. Yes, the ship will go into international water. Will insurance cover COVID-19 treatment after cruise to nowhere? Wouldn’t cruise to nowhere be considered as similar to staycation since we can’t disembark at port calls anyway?
