I know I'm a bit of pessimistic...but I was thinking of going back to work...sigh...

      Hi jedamum,

at least ur DS2 dun fight with others, mine just purposely fight...I called him hooligan...he will purposely touch people just to provoke a fight...sometimes I wonder why he behaves this way...he seems to have a lot of anger in him, which I can't explain why... 😞
if you can make the appropriate childcare arrangment, you can explore the option of going back to work. if it frustrates you to stay at home, maybe you are best suited to be a FTWM... 🙂

at 2yo, there is plenty of time to influence his behaviour. don't give up!

lolz, i don't trust maid, i don't trust childcare too. actually, i only trust my MIL, but she did not want to care for my ds2, hence i became a SAHM.
ya. problem with CC is when the kid is sick, you still need someone to take care of him.

I also trust my MIL only, but she's no longer around anymore... 😞

when a child is sick, usually it takes about 2 weeks to fully recover, can't be taking leave for 2 weeks mah hor.

Must plan ahead but don't be so negative k.. ...
Some childcare quite flexible, or you can request for some 'standby' help from relatives and friends.
If you are working can talk to boss..
Things may all turn out well 😉

ya. CC when starting, on the average, i heard is kids falling sick at least once a month (flu, cough etc). can make FTWP very stressful. when i was working, the most stress were not the deadlines, but were usually the period when ds1 was sick and MIL calling me to come home straight and could hear ds1 wailing in the background.

this is quite touchy. imagine, you have young children at home and your relative's kid is sick and couldn't attend CC and hope that you can help take care of the sick child for a few days. then how?

True jedamum, probably only if you have willing and suitable help from relatives…

In my teens my cousins used to ‘domepang’ their kiddos with my mum.
My mum looked forward to help out cause she could spare the time and I do not have any sibling.

ya lor...when a child is sick, i doubt the parents would have the mood to work...I dunno, me for sure dun have the mood to work...initially, it's best not to take leave, still under probation leh...

i guess i'm the type who would go for part time...put child in sch morning, he goes sch, I go work, then afternoon, go back together...hahah...how nice...but where to get such good deal...usually, people would work for few years in a company, then when necessary, go part time (after a child was born, etc)...

or lagi best, work at home...:)
