MOH has not given any guidance for the 4th dose as yet. Currently, they are just advising about the 3rd dose. However, they do recommend mRNA as a 3rd dose after 2 SinoVac (see pt 4 in the link). So I expect mRNA as a 4th dose after 3 doses of SinoVac should be ok eventually, when/if 4th doses are recommended.

Yes, I read that. Call me a cynic, but I don't place all that much weight on the announcements from the pharma companies, especially when the announcement will lead to higher sales! If omicron turns out to be less severe, maybe the recommendation for additional doses may be mostly for those who are medically more vulnerable, or are travelling, or working in more high-risk places. It could be that the general population may not really need additional doses.

We know our SG notarised vac cert will expire 365 (+14 days?) after your last dose. EUDCC and Swiss's cert validity is 365 days, as I can see the date of my second dose printed on them (I got it before I took my booster), and one even stated ''UNTIL dd/mm/yyyy'' of my Dose 2 which is mid-2021.
Since I took my 3rd booster in early Nov, that means my updated EUDCC will expire next Nov 2022, meaning I will have no valid notarised cert or EUDCC to travel to EU/elsewhere after that Dose 3 date?
Does it mean I've to keep taking 4th/5th boosters to extend my notarised vac cert? And if I refuse to take, I will not be able to travel at all? Sounds preposterous right?
For majority of the young ones who took Dose 2 in Jul-Oct this year, they will not be able to get a notarised cert/EUDCC if they wish to travel next Nov-Dec school holidays as their fully vaccination status would lapse by then...Not unless they are pumped with a 3rd booster in 2022, am I correct? :scared:
The situation is trickier for those who took Chinese vaccines. If they don't take their ''S'' booster within 4 mths after their Dose 2, they will lose their fully vaccinated status and will not qualify for any VTL if I'm not mistaken.
And if they took ''S'' as their 3rd booster to maintain their fully vaccinated status in Singapore, they can say bye-bye to France travel, as France immigration (as of now) requires visitors who took two WHO-EUL ''S'' doses to boost with a 3rd mRNA (P/M), not another Chinese booster.
If you boost with another \"S\" now, your SG Notarised Vac Cert will generate a Dose 3 \"S\" QR code which, when ported over to the French/EU app, will inevitably display 'S vaccine brand' to the authorities and public amenities/attractions.

Separately, just FYI, if you've ever been infected by Covid before in Singapore and duly took 1 Dose on MOH's advice, your application for the FOPH Swiss Vac Cert will be rejected, as it happened to my friend who was planning to ski in CH.
However, you can try your luck with EUDCC as a \"Recovered Patient'' applicant. -

With individual dose QR codes now printed on your notarised cert, I don't know what info foreign health authorities will be receiving when they scan your cert or convert your cert to theirs. Only your Dose 3 vaccine brand or your 3-Dose history? -

That would apply to ROK which requires you to be tested on-arrival at Incheon. Yes, you will have to be quarantined at a govt quarantine facility or hospital in ROK and I believe that is covered by certain insurance companies.
So if you fly and land in a foreign country and then found out you have caught the virus when you are still in the airport, what happens? Does the insurance cover all your medical expenses overseas?
However, if you're NOT required to be isolated in either as in the case of endemic EU, you may claim for either Quarantine Allowance to be isolated in a hotel, or claim under Travel Curtailment as you have to shorten your planned itinerary. Some policies allow your travel companion/close relative to claim under Travel Interruption.
Thankfully for most EU VTLs, you would already have found out if you're +ve/-ve before you fly. Those EU countries require you to do PDT 48h (or 72-hr for Italy) PCR/ART prior to your departure from Singapore. You can't even board if you're +ve. If you're +ve before leaving Singapore, claim under Travel Cancellation/Postponement methinks.
If you're only tested +ve upon your return to SIN, as in the case of that PR who took the German VTL back on 7 Dec (?) and tested +ve on Day 2 post-VTL, she won't be compensated of course.
