Hi fellow parents, my son got his posting to CHS but we're currently located in Woodlands, will be relocating probably Q4 2022... wondering if anybody in similar situation that the child got to travel a distance to school? We're worried that the travel hours are too tiresome for him, but getting a private transport seems difficult nowadays (more demand than supply T_T).

Would love to hear some views! TIA

Like mentioned above, it is only 5 stops from woodlands to bright hill. That takes 17 mins.
The bus from bright hill mrt to the school is 5 bus stops.

I am guessing the bulk of the time spent in your 1h10min journey is the time to take you from your house to woodlands mrt?

Hi everyone, my DS applied for CHS. Hopefully will be seeing you next year. Is there a WhatsApp chat group for the school, or for the S1? I'd be happy to join if anyone can PM me the link.

Oh and about the uniforms, I understand that they are allowed to wear PE tops with berms during this Covid period. But if I don't know the house for PE, can I just buy the normal PE tee? Additionally for the shoes, what are the requirements?

For this yr, instructions were for the boys to wear PE top and berms to sch. Change in/ out PE shorts only when there was PE. For those who didn’t change out, warnings were given. There were a couple of times this yr the boys also had to go sch in full uniform, with tie. But those were considered rare occasions. So far, no need to buy/ wear house tee. There will be accumulation of coloured tees (CCA/ class/ house tee) all clearly instructed to purchase if required. Just buy uniforms n PE sets will do.

Shoes-as long as mostly white, some stripes, logos in other colours were deemed to be ok.
