Disappointed to be alerted that my EUDCC issued by France will expire on 15 Jan 2022. Jeez, that’s not even 9 mths from my Dose 2 date. Didn’t the EUC/EMA statement state that 2 doses have a 9-mth validity?

Wonder what’s their criteria, and what’s US/Canada and Singapore’s too.

If I were to scan my 3rd Booster QR code which was issued early Nov 2021, that means my renewed EUDCC will also expire by Aug 2022 or earlier.

Tsk tsk… I wish to travel to the Northern Hemisphere next Nov-Dec again and really don’t wish to take another booster in 2022. If I really have to, I think I’ll time my next booster to be min 2 weeks before my departure date like I strategically did for this holiday, so that my antibodies level will be very high when I’m travelling.

So happy that we've finally spent our $100 Singapore Rediscovers Vouchers. Joined a few tours and done with it before Christmas! :rahrah:
Congrats; it isnt too challenging to spend the SRVs.

          https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/from-jan-15-unvaccinated-workers-will-not-be-allowed-to-return-to-the-workplace-even-with-negative-pre-event-test

          Extracted from the above:
MOH said it will also open applications for a second round of free antigen rapid test (ART) kit distribution for workplaces that are not on mandatory rostered routine testing (RRT) regimes.

This will help workplaces to implement voluntary weekly testing for two months in order to facilitate early identification of Covid-19 cases and reduce workplace transmission as more return to work.

Firms with employees that work onsite and are not already subject to mandatory RRT may apply for eight ART kits per onsite vaccinated employee if they need funding support, MOH said.

Yeah just pick a tour and claim your necessary SRV voucher denominations to generate a PROMOCode to paste onto the tour website Cart's CheckOut field. Was surprised that we thoroughly enjoyed our local tours!

i was reading the news on covid.
VTL folks can be negative upon arrival Spore but became positive a few days later.
Why? Isnt PCR conducted upon arrival and PCR shld be able to detect any minute presence of the virus?
My personal experience with Changi's on-arrival PCR test is our swabbers don't insert the swab deep enough. The ART done by our local clinic is even less deep. Overseas swabbers poked all the way in. :yikes:

Anyway, there's an incubation period, so the Days 3 & 7 supervised ARTs at QTC are meant to catch those who haven't been detected yet on Day 0.

Since Omicron is less lethal than Delta, and MOH has announced Omicron patients can recover at home, I don't think VTL returnees will need to shoulder the post-VTL $25k hospitalisation bill anymore. That's great! :rahrah:

@sk8jack, we have removed your post as there has been complaints that the post only serves to frighten people. For context, the post listed 32 cases, of mostly teenagers from the VAERS database which is owned by National Vaccine Information Centre of the US. The teenagers purportedly died after being administered the Pfizer vaccine. There was also a baby who was thought to have died \"because it drank breast milk of the mother\" who just happened to have the Pfizer vaccine.

The fact is, even though the cases are true, you only listed 32 cases. While it may seem to be a lot of deaths, that is against a population of 332 million people. Even if you consider only teenagers between 12-19, there's 42 million of them. At least https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/27/us/adolescents-covid-vaccine-shot.html has already been vaccinated, which is 21 million. For comparison, Singapore's population is 6 million.

32 cases out of 21 million? I'll leave it to the reader to think whether it is significant.

And to add on... We must consider that there are hundreds to thousands of Covid deaths every day in the US... Not getting vaccinated is a surer way to put yourself at risk.

I could not even access the website without VPN as apparently it’s blocked by my ISP. A quick google online seems to point out the website as kind of dodgy.

While I do think the mainstream media coverage of covid and vaccination borderlines on propaganda, at the other end of spectrum we also have people who are too ready to support their skewed narrative with any ‘expert’ sources available online.

It is indeed true that on a risk-benefit consideration, 32 out of 21 million is insignificant by comparison.

That said, unless a post contain unverifiable or false information, I am also against removing a post just because it goes against a prevailing narrative. We should trust reader can read, decipher and decide on a best course of action for themselves. Censoring alternative views without falsehoods creates an public perception of censorship and propaganda, that reduces trust in a society. A better approach will be to response to the post with your perspective on why you disagree.

Just take a look at US. The level of distrust in the country is currently very high and this is because nobody trust the media anymore. The media in US started to behave in a partisan manner and once that happens, people just see them as propaganda outlets that is not to be trusted. Even the \"fact checker\" in US is distrusted because of different standards they applied in fact checking republicans and democrats. US become a great nation because they are a melting pot for all cultures, not because they \"cancelled\" views that goes against their narratives like what the wokes are doing now.

Society will be worst off for it if we stopped been able to \"agree to disagree\".
