Woah why think like that..I hope our family won't get it but I know it is not that easy..
      Mrs. Kiasu,
I am total agree with you and really don't understand why the Chief thinks like that.

I believe my brother in law who has passed away due to Covid 19 Complication - didn't have the idea of getting Covid 19 after vaccination so that he could get it over with. Actually my brother in law couldn't make it.

Usually we have a much mild symptom for common cold and flu after taking the vaccination of Flu every year, but it doesn't mean that we should take the risk of getting Covid 19.

At first thought it was 5 visitors per session.

So if the first 5 visitors have left the host house after Round 1 makan another 5 more new visitors can come and gather makan Round 2. Means at any one time inside the host house maximum 5 visitors allowed until I read per day which is very restrictive

        Eg.

Those huo guo very easy just dump everything into the pot can have many rounds of makan for every new group of 5 visitors to visit the host house at staggered hours
Round 1 of 2 friends can come visit me at 6pm. We will eat hotpot and play mahjong till 10pm.
Round 2 of 3 friends can come over at 10pm to eat hotpot supper. They will take over the MJ game and play till midnight.
After midnight, it's a brand new day and cycle. Another 5 unique visitors can come visit me to play from 12.01am till 3am.
Later at 10am that same morning, I'll return my visit to their place to 拜年, as I've already exhausted my 5-pax limit for that 24hr cycle.

Perhaps the absence of daily update on number of new cases except at MOH website and occasionally in the papers, made us less conscious on the severity of the situation and we let our guard down.

Oh well what a cny. First it is only 2 days. Secondly I need to work on one of the day. Third, visitations limited to max 5 per day. Lucky I didn’t buy too many new cny clothes. I think it will just be me and my fam couching on front of netflix disney+ iqiyi and viu all the time…me and my siblings (big families) can’t even visit my parents who will be limited to 5 max visitors per day.

If we consider that CNY is 15 days, I guess we can spread out the visits? My family hasn't decided how we are going to do it, but luckily, we are a small family (my side) and can probably spread out over just 2 days. My husband's family is much bigger - I think we will have to cut down even more than last year, or spread it out over a longer period. Discussions still ongoing!

?? Why I think like that? Maybe I just want to really test how effective the vaccines are... 😂
I'm an engineer, you know, who love to test out new things.

Reminds me of the story of the 3 persons scheduled to die on the guillotine. The first 2 went through the guillotine face down but the blade did not drop. So they were saved because of \"divine intervention\".
The 3rd one insisted to lie facing up. When the execution started and the blade did not drop again, he said:
                      \"Ah... there! I see the problem!\"

I'm not an engineer! But I agree with ChiefK. For me, since it seems inevitable that we will catch it sooner or later, and (hopefully) catching it will neither be serious and maybe even protective against repeated infections, my feeling is \"get it over and done with\" rather than be fearful that it will happen at a very inconvenient time. I'm also in my late 50s - if it's safer to get it when you're younger, then I'd rather get it sooner rather than later.
