You had quite a number of posts in Trading and I did a sweep again last night of items sold and locked threads, that's why!

You shouldn't have.
Cos the items from my sale have very genuine
and personal feedbacks from all my buyers who
took time to make their inputs.
And just like in eBay where i also sell, there is a
good thing abt having feedbacks (positive or neg)
is that as sellers, we can improve our trading methods
and improve our transactions. As new buyers, they will
want to look back on previous transactions from the said
sellers to ensure that they are buying from a trustworthy
source/seller. I definitely pride myself in being a genuine
and trustworthy seller up till today.
Thread locks already automatically indicate that the items
have been sold. There is no need for further clean up unless
until Chief decrees it so. All the locked threads will make its
way further down the pages as new trading posts arrive from
new sellers with new items or from UPz-ing.
I have never deleted anyone's trading post since my time here
in 2008 or since i have had powers to delete practically anything
i am unhappy with. I also make sure even till today to check with
Chief first before i do anything as he has iterated that he likes to
leave things as it is & not even correct grammatical or spelling errors
posted by forummers... or some petty misunderstanding between
forummers in threads. As real as that..
In KiasuParents, we are genuine people sharing genuine issues..
we keep it in its original posting state as much as possible.
As Chief mentioned before to all mods... the power of deletion is
to be handled properly... handled with care. For this i personally
find the deletion of my threads, especially my locked threads
especially is uncalled for. I am disappointed that is has been done
and there is no way of retrieval cos there was much effort on my
part & my buyers to have them updated & i am sure i have pretty
much cleaned them up myself & without much UPz-ing. Just to also
share, i do not mind it at all when others come in to OT or chat in the
threads i started. I'm ok with a bit of OT here and there... it happens.
Everyone is guilty of it sometime or another. All we need is just post
something to get things back on track if need be and the herd will
follow. :lol:
If i didn't know you better, i'd have thought you were picking
on me esp since i do see other locked and sold items still in that forum
as well. As unhappy as i am with this revelation & as hurtful your actions
have been, i suppose i can forgive you this time... for perhaps you were
excited with your new-found powers.
It's fine if you sincerely clean up if it is in an utter mess & a sore in the
eyes of the rest as well like the many long quotes i've cleaned up myself
every day i log on and i remember thanking you personally when you
genuinely help to clear up some of mine plus i was inactive for awhile
cos hubs was on leave and i didn't log on much then.. but in future do
consult Chief prior to any major mod-actions. I don't mind if you were
fiddling to check what you can do with your powers but it seems that it
is just me that's being wiped. Even for myself as one of the first few to
have attained those powers i have yet to intentionally delete someone's
post unless if it indicated double-post... mods, pls help delete.

Buds... 25hourmaid had my blessing when she deleted ALL threads in the Trading Post where the last post was more than a year old, and not only your threads. We have a reason to do so... Trading Post items are really meant as transient transactions, and not permanent fixtures. There are only a handful of threads which are still meaningful to read in there. YOU DID!

Moving forward, we will add an additional condition that only threads that are more than a year old AND have 1 or less pages shall be removed. All \"Upz\" posts are not counted.
Don't worry, you will still retain your KPs for the earlier post counts.
Note that this only applies to the Trading Post Forum. We do not remove posts in other Forums UNLESS they are spam or malicious.
BTW... you have given us a great idea regarding buying and selling and rating sellers and buyers. We will see if we can set up something specially for this. -

I would love to make that ruling, but unfortunately that could be subject to abuse and given that the KiasuPoints given for the leveling up of KGMs is a MANUAL process, I could end up having to award the same award every other week... :faint: -
