Not sure what year your DD is in but I have heard from my DD some teachers do give work before teaching the topic.
But very seldom and DD does not complain, of course if have tuition some gals might already have started on the topic.

DD did not get tuition in Y1-Y2 for maths, but for Y3 she had some issues with A maths so we let her attend Tuition for A maths.( or they call maths 2 or something)
      Hi Sob7,
Thank so much for replying! She’s in Y1 and I just want to know if it’s a common practice. It might be a little challenge for the girls to start a new way of learning, I hope she will adapt to it. Otherwise all other subjects seems ok. May I know if math tuition is better to get 1:1 or go for IP math group tuition? I’m really clueless about it. Thanks!

It's normal to be concerned, you can always check up with her if she can handle the workload.
The gals can always ask their teachers if they do not understand the lessons, teachers are approachable.
But let her tell you if she has difficulties

            Hi Parents,

Just want to find out if the teacher give work or sLS for the girls before teaching them the topic? lastly, does your girl need tuition or extra help for math? Thanks!
I have heard of this! I believe it is called \"flipped learning\". But my daughter has not told me if her Y1 math teacher is utilizing this teaching pedagogy in RGS.

My daughter choose to continue with the IP math lessons at NickleBee Math, which she also attended when she was in primary school. IP math tuition class size is limited to 2 or 3 students.

                Hi,

What are the subject combinations available in Y3-4? What are the Eng Lit texts used in Y3-4? Thanks.

Curious: Do they have a group of 2-3 students from the same school? Is it regular math or Olympiad as well?

                      Hi Parents,
Can you pls recommend some additional reference / textbooks for Y2 science. Any websites were science concepts are explained well for the students.
                      Thanks in advance.
I checked with my daughter and she says the best resource, is to consult the teacher or to read the notes given thoroughly.

Side note: I did buy some GLM sci books from popular for her.. it’s still untouched.

I am not sure about that, but she told me that her fellow tuition attendees are all from Integrated Programme.

My daughter has not indicated an interest to compete in the math Olympaid, so she attends only the regular IP math tuition with NickleBee Math.
