Hope your hubs is ok now. It's good that his case seem mild. Is he ok now?
Very mild - he was up and about all through, and felt fine after about 3-4 days.

For those who tested ART positive at home and self-isolate, do they inform MOH and therefore added to the daily cases statistics? Without further testing, how does MOH know the virus strain for daily reporting/tracking?

If they are working, they have to inform their employers their ART results and their employers will submit the number of infected employee to MOM everday and I believe MOM will forward the data to MOH.

For working persons and students, I'm sure the stats will be included as they have to report to employer and teachers.

It's those non-working persons with no/mild symptoms who now follow Protocol 2 that would be missed out in the daily count, unless they choose to see a GP after self-testing positive on ART at home. If they don't see a GP, no one will know as they are not required to inform MOH. They will just self-isolate for 72h and if still positive, they will keep testing till Day 7 (for fully vaccinated) and Day 14 (for partially- or unvaccinated).

The VTL testing regimes have already changed for those infected overseas & recovered overseas. There's a possibility that overseas travellers who are ART-tested positive 7 days prior to departing to Singapore may still be carrying the virus. They can now just board the plane without a 48h PDT in the foreign country and are now exempt from all OAT, ARTs and SHN from 23 Jan 23:55h.

I still cannot recall where I catched the Covid 19, it may be the wedding dinner last week as many were together in a dinner hall. However, if it is not DH having severe symptoms and went to see GP last Saturday, I would only carry out my routine weekly ART test on every Tuesday morning. Don't know how many would be infected by me already. :slapshead:

That's why the case count reported by MOH is no longer accurate, and is almost certainly lower than in reality. But if most vaccinated people do not suffer unduly from Covid, there is really no need to count so carefully.

It's not required for workplaces to report Covid cases to MOM. Maybe on those places which are required to test regularly. For workplaces where testing is not mandatory, even if a worker is Covid positive, there are mitigation measures to be done, but no necessity to report to MOM. So these cases will not be counted unless (in the past) they took a PCR test. Even if they saw a GP and were told to do home recovery, they would not have been counted until the rule changed a couple of days ago.
