I hope the omicron virus is so mild that this shot becomes unnecessary šŸ™

What do u do if your classmate (not close) got C+ and due to bureaucracy MOH has not identified close contacts. You test ART right. Do you test everyday or test until when? If do PCR directly, will this be better but we hv to bear the cost is it and how much?

I think technically you don't need to do anything. You can ART or PCR for own peace of mind. Personally, I would think ART is sufficient for most if still feeling well.

Last year MOE and the schools were issuing CCTs (Close Contact Testing) as an interim measure before MOH could send out the HRWs (needed to do ART daily and bring to school for several days or until HRW protocol took over). I'm not sure if this is still going on this year (obviously takes teachers' time). We received a couple of HRWs without the CCT this year.

The Incubation Period for Omicron Covid 19 is around 03 to 05 days and therefore you can do an ART test for 05 days from the last day of contact.

I would just follow the same procedure as Health Risk Warning (which is issued to identified close contacts): Protocol 3, which is to self-test daily with ART up to 7 days and only go out if negative. If you are staying home, then no need to test.

I don't think you need to follow Protocol 3 if your child is well and has not received any HRW.

                    and how much?
From $95 - $150. The more expensive it is, i.e. above $150-300, the more express (or convenient i.e, house call) you will get your PCR results.

Since we are not identified as close contacts yet. The qn i wanna know for peace of mind is whether how long does the ART results remain relevant before a repeat test is required? I recall its 2days.?

We have been in this position, and we decided that it would be responsible to adopt Protocol 3 (other than reporting the results). So for that 7 days, we took ART each day if we wanted to go out. But since we were all WFH, we only had to take ART once or twice each during that week (for me to go to the supermarket, etc).

Not sure about validity - I think it depends on the purpose and the organisation which is receiving the result. I've heard of several workplaces (including govt agencies) that ask staff to self-test once a week, so in a way, the \"validity\" is 1 week.
