Haha, Hquek, cos u r early to made payment. The queue after 1pm is terrible! We gave up in queue after wasting time to select our books! A friend was there too and queue for 3 hrs and 20mins to be her turn for payment! But there was no queue on Sunday!

I had to queue from hall 4 to get into hall 3 (that becos they were checking the popular cards). I think the queue on sat was due to the $10 voucher (if you spend more than $100 in 1 receipt).
Gosh, I would have fainted if I had to wait for 3 hours plus. I think I only waited like 15-25min.
I was at TPY on Sunday...and strangely, they had much of the same stationery etc on sale there also. What is the point of having it at expo if you are going to repeat elsewhere?
I just found it amazing also that just one week prior, they had a private sale that was also very siao....and now with expo, pp go crazy all over again. -

Hquek,
Good reminder.
I will look up for Mr Men and Little Miss during MPH Sales.
Anyone went for Library sales before? I am tempted to go but wondering any good buy? -

Again, I'm a guilty one. I went for the library sale last year. Someone told me she got a stack of National Geographic magazines for $5 (for the whole stack) - so I went. Didn't find Nat GeoHquek,
Good reminder.

; but went home with a stack of boys magazines (dated I think 4 years back) - end up DS1 didn't quite like it.
There are some good finds, but those library books tend to be grubby and oldy type. I bought a usborne reference book (small type) for a couple of bucks. although it's good value for money, but the condition leaves much to be desired.
call me 'gu-niang' or 'yim-chim' but I'll probably skip any future library sales. -
There was some talk about Usborne young readers. there were a lot at the last mph sale - so there MAY be at this sale. Each book (hardcover) went at $3 before discount - after all discounts, it's about $1.80 per book. I grabbed like siao.
There are I think 2 levels to these readers. one is for younger set with large fonts, less words; another is more wordy. Some are on fairytales/familiar tales (sherlock holmes, 3 little pigs type), others are on reference topics (eg story of chocolate, or garbage or electricity).
Remember to either bring different credit cards, or check out which - hopefully there may be further discounts (last time it's either citibank or UOB, it may change).
I told myself I won't be keen this time round, having done much damage; but yet I seem to be working myself into a state of hype. :siao: -
hquek,
Thanks for letting me know.
I think i will skip library sales then. I am very particular about the condition of books too.
More keen on MPH sales or Borders sales. -
