Im sure there are 4 net scorers got into RI.
COP RI is 4 accord to MOE.
Likewise, Net 5 scorers failed to get Nyjc are likely to flow into Ejc then snowball into others.
Oh why only EJC? Why not flow into NJC or VJC?

Many high SES friends kids I know, their 1st choice is always RI/HCI, if can’t get in, will go for EJC or ACJC. NYJC is never on their list.

NYJC COP was 6. They take in all the academic strong students to begin with, isn’t it?

        If bench mark against RI/HCI/Eunonia:
        - if NYJC median is on par or higher than RI/HCI, than it is exceed expectation
        - if Eunonia median is on par or above NYJC, then NYJC performs below expectation
RI/HCI take in more than 50% IPs and cop
        4-5
Ny cop 6-7 based on yr 2020 batch.
How to bench mark to these 3 JCs?

Fyi, NY Median 86, Ejc Median 85.

I meant to provide the information on the \">80% for 85 and better score\", not so much to compare against any schools. So far, only the median of 86 has been publicly shared and many has been dubious of their achievements. This is one of our concern also during the selection process.
Thks for sharing. To add on: Whether NYJC performance is spectacular or not, has to be look at in relative term instead of absolute term. It is expected they do well because of the Low COP. It’s quite like a national runner clock a 2.4km run of 8min is expected. It will be more spectacular if a sedentary person clock a 2.4 km run of 9min.

Ny cop is lower than Ejc , much lower than Acjc.
The next choice JC is obvious if many cant get into RI/HCI.

Njc, Vjc- dont need to bring in

In this case NY performance is in line with expectation, not spectacular. Do you know RI/HCI medians?

Just 1 point lower. COP is not just the only consideration. NYJC lacks the wow factor to attract students with higher aspirations. Students who fear to pit themselves against IP students gravitate there.

As said, RI/HCI admit > 50% IPs or RI has 70% IPs as shared i think.
In this case, RI/HCI perf is in line with expectation, not spectacular. Their medians expected be higher.

Then other IP JCs with cop 7-8 or 8-9 but are IP JCs, perf below expectation?

To clarify, you are using how well a JC attracts top students as indicator of its performance?

Cop of most single digit JCs are 1-2 points difference.
Cop determines the Main eligibility to enter a JC, what you mean not just only con'n.

                        Ny lacks wow factor...?
Every JCs has its own + points.

You did survey on students fearing to pit against IPs?
Thats just your own narrow or elitism mindset.

We know how well Ny has progressed as non IP JC.
                        I rest my case.
