NYJC is popular partly because some students buy into the online hype that JIP-JAE segregation is a serious issue, particularly at the new IP-JC that is geographically nearby. The Arts COP is partly boosted by science students who place NYJC (Arts) after NYJC (Science) as their choice, to exploit the \"loophole\" that once you're in the door, the system allows you to freely choose subject combinations.
This perspective resonates with me. I feel there’s good value (for a student) in being able to choose subjects freely.

what i heard fr my child whose frens went nyjc , the flexibilty of subject combi which is termed as \"Hybrid\"
so no hard line to draw difference between Sci or Art subjects combi.
Since the last two yrs cop dropped further, it seem that next yr and the yr after A level results should be /by right
with better projection of good results , high rank points - only if the jc is more open to share info

Let say these are the 5 subjects students need to study:

            - Finance
            - Science
            - Physical fitness
            - Culinary
            - Painting

Other JCs’ students scores for them
            - Finance 100
            - Science 100
            - Physical fitness 100
            - Culinary 50
            - Painting 50

            NYJC students:
            - Finance 80
            - Science 80
            - Physical fitness 80
            - Culinary 80
            - Painting 80

It appear NYJC ethos is different from others. 😄

Hi Dino, this.. I am not sure. Maybe you can email the school to ask.

Strangely I don’t see it as a top school.. even if they do share fantastic results. There’s a lot of room for improvement.

It's ok.... I am just curious how flexible is the flexibility.... Don't think there will be any answers from proper channels... Only insiders who have being in the school will know....

There is not even one full mark subject. No full mark, no top school 😄

Chill out at the school over weekend; tender foods and drinks, affectionate paintings. Cheers :celebrate:

Ok conclusion is, if cannot get into HCI/ RIJC, choose NYJC. If cannot get into NYJC, never mind, there is still a backup EJC. If cannot get into EJC, still have NJC/ DHS/ VJC. If cannot get into all these JCs, just choose Polytechnic. 😀
