Hope that they will extend this to the not-so-poor too! $5 a pop is still quite costly for many families.

Agree the kits are quite costly! Need to invent something more affordable.

Or just forget self-testing on such a wide scale. If the no. who are required to be tested is smaller, the govt can provide for that. Let people who are actually quite sick get tested in clinics and hospitals, and not bother with contact tracing. If regular rostered testing is needed for some sectors, their employers will provide.

When will they scrap Safe Entry check-ins? Doesnt seem to serve much purpose anymore since TT data isnt used to issue HRW/HRN anymore.

I think safe entry is just for checking vaccination status. So can they stop checking vaccination status for required places? :scratchhead:

I did not check in at a regular place I visited and they knew I was vaccinated and true enough my token was still picked up by token of the infected person as a close contact and issued a HRW. That's actually my understanding of how the token works so I feel that safe entry check-in now is for verification of vaccination status mainly. In fact those who use token instead of the handphone are more likely to be picked up for HRW/HRN cos handphone the blue tooth could be off.

Are there many still unvaccinated by choice? How long are we going to bear with these differentiated measures?

Whats the vacinnation rate now? >90%?

Its not logical to inconvenience the >90% of the population just to protect the minority who cannot/dont want to be vacinnated. After all, if they choose to visit malls or dine-in at eateries & catch Covid then they have agreed to bear the hospitalisation costs.

I think our ICUs can cope with this small number (or cant they?) Someone can crunch the numbers.

Totally agreed. Those who cant be vaccinated due to valid reasons shld be really the minority. There are some who still chose not to be vaccinated and I simply cant understand them.

I would like to ask the same questions too! Can we please get rid of the Safe Entry check-inS and the differentiated measures? Thank you!
