The 2022 calendar is missing the annual swim meet and track & field events… does anyone know if these are not happening in 2022 or are usually left off the school calendar to be announced nearer the date(s)?

Hi, I checked the 2021 calendar and they were inside (and I recall for all previous years too).

Can probably assume that they will not be taking place in 2022. It’s extremely sad, especially if your boys have been training hard during the hols. -

Thank you! Rather disappointing, really, it's quite a different feel for school sports meets as opposed to other comps cos they can cheer their classmates on.

Hello! I will like to find out more about becoming prefects at acsj. Do they get selected by teachers? And when? P4?
Thanks! -
I have a question on CCA shirt sizing… do they typically run large or around the same size as corporate tee sizing?
This year’s order form has numbers but no unit of measurement i.e. whether cm or inches. Looking at the numbers, inches appear to be logical conclusion - but in which case the shirts are huge…
Does anyone have any experience with this? -
Hi all!
I’m new to the forum and have some questions pertaining to primary 1 registration for ACSJ.
My son was born in 2018 and I am an alumni of ACSJ. Also, I live within 1km of the school.
It would be very much appreciated if I could get some help on some of the questions listed below:
- Is there an opportunity to be a parent volunteer at ACSJ? I read some forum posts and searched on the official site but I can’t seem to find any information on being a parent volunteer to increase my son’s chances of being accepted to ACSJ
- Based on my profile above, could anyone shed some light on the chances of my son being accepted into ACSJ? Also, is there anything else I could do as a parent to increase his chances?
Thank you very much in advance for your help! I do apologize if the questions seem silly as I’ve just started getting cued in with all of these. -

One cannot volunteer into the school prior to getting a P1 place, but can volunteer as PSG only AFTER getting in.
Jus pray no balloting needed during yr Phase of application -
Hi MTWS, you are more blessed than many applicants as you will have 2 bites of the cherry (Phase 2A and Phase 2C).
2A is almost guaranteed since most alumni live >>2km of the school. I wouldnt expect any balloting to be necessary at <1km at all.
In the unlikely event that 2A fails, you can still try again at 2C <1km.
2B at ACSJ is only for Methodist church members or Grassroots Leaders (who have obtained the relevant 2B letter). The school does not take PVs for 2B purposes.
All the best!
(*edited to add: I assume that you have already done all the necessary to join the alumni association by the deadline) -
