Had a mouthful of ulcers. Feels so sensitive when eating. A good KSP frd msg me to take manuka. Why didn’t I think of it? Helps when u’re I’ll & don’t hv a clear mind, frds are the best!
My gum was also feeling very painful during my infection of Omicron in Jan. It seems that oral problem is a Complication of Omicron. Don't eat any spicy and oily food for the time being. BFF can always help us when we are in need.

You must be feeling terrible back then! Glad that it’s all over for you now. Woke up feeling pain the the stomach when I started coughing due to accumulated phlegm. Cough is much reduced since y’day evening but wonder why is the pain there.

I don’t typically take anything spicy nor hv oily food in our family meals. Had been going for 清淡 stir fries, bake or steam meals. Tumeric is always in one of my meats. Hope today will be better!

Hope everyone hv a good start of the day!

My sister in law who caught Omicron last month - told me that she had serious stomachache at that time and the pain was so unbearable that she went to A & E Department of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for injection to stop the pain. But the pain was disappeared after a few days. Try to see a doctor if the stomach pain getting worse. Fighting with Omicron is surely a terrible experience. 😢

I'm sorry that Esteema and others have such a bad experience with Omicron. Hope she gets better quickly.

But please don't frighten yourself others unduly - many people have very mild cases of Omicron and some are asymptomatic. Among my husband and colleagues who have caught it in recent weeks, the main complaints have been sore throat, slight cough, some runny nose, mild fever, fatigue (not everyone got all of these). Most felt well after about 3 days even if they still tested positive for a few more days.

But not everyone seems to catch it so easily. My daughters and I didn't when my husband had it, and another colleague's husband had it, but she and her son also didn't catch it. Whereas some colleagues and their spouses both had it.

Slmkhoo, I really hope we are like you and your dd, not getting it despite being near to an infected person..but will still prepare for it..

dd2 had her 2nd dose few days ago and I haven't got dd1 for her booster yet. She had her 2nd dose early Sep. Should I bring her for booster, I keep asking myself? Last mth when we talked, she mentioned she seems to feel abit more of breathlessness when she climb up stairs..

Sorry to hear that you are infected and fighting symptoms that definitely sound uncomfortable. I am fighting a different Covid war! Reporting. So many reports to submit and manpower shortage. Was telling DH that soon the uninfected will be the minority. DH said that his colleague in Korea said that over there, if you have not yes been infected, that means you are anti-social or have no friends.

It is really all over. Parent pass to kids, Grandparents pass to kids. Classmates pass to each other. School going kids pass to family. And one funny one, DH's colleague's son tried to pull a fast one to skip school. He drew the 2nd line on the ART kit and told the father he tested positive.

Kids seem to bounce back much faster. Niece was infected. Fever for a days, slept for 1 day a bit of cough and runny nose and 5th day she tested negative already. Some kids exhibited stomach flu symptoms before testing positive. So maybe in some cases the virus does affect the gut. Adults seem to suffer a multitude of symptoms and after effects.

Anyways, keep yourself hydrated, rest well, stay mentally positive ( nowadays cannot just say stay positive 😓 )

                      Speedy recovery yah.

Try to bring your DD1 for booster fast. I and my DH were saved by the booster and we cannot imagine how sick we would be if we didn't take our booster. Don't hesitate.
