You mean all the students from top 2 classes will get invitation?
No leh, my son never received such invitations (Math or Science) and he is around middle of the cohort (never failed). Maybe his school quota is less? Only top 2 classes some invited…[/quote] -

Oh ok coz I was trying to roughly gauge..and to add this dd's Math has nothing to shout about. We seldom do Math at home..I can only say she has not come across the many type of qns like someone doing revisions outside classroom. This child, I haven't thought of giving her any nyps Math paper to try lol. She stunts like vegetable when see outside classroom types of qn..but I think able to see something type after I explained.

It's not a wake up call for me...
Tbh when my eldest P6 Maths CA1 got lowest in class (72/100), it was also a wake-up call for me....... to get her to do her best for her NSG in April, dsa in July/aug (during prelims) and then to re-focus on psle after prelims.....it was indeed a tough P6 year...
It's a wake up call for the kid
Sometimes kids (and people) think... so easy. Everything also so simple and then starts getting careless... losing focus...
Some setbacks are good. -
Ya ask her attempt PSLE MCQ qns (for those topics she has already learnt).
Let her experience how tricky and close the 4 choices can be. Cannot use P1-4 MCQ “guess-guess-feels right-strike!” strategy liao. -

between \"students are given only the knowledge of their own score or grade, often described as “knowledge of results.” and \"students are given information about the correct results, some explanation, and specific activities to undertake in order to improve.\"
Tks for sharing. So the scrapping of MYE is after years of observing good outcomes from “assess for learning” method.
No need years of observing ... LOL,
or between \"knowledge of low score, student may consider tuition\" vs the later. -

I read this from that article “… this follows changes to assessment policies over the last decade.…”

I believe any changes in policy will be after much deliberations, plus, seeing good experimental outcomes.
