Wahhh.. yr PG app stronger than mine ! 😂 😂 Still no pgapp DSA notification on my hp or my spouse hp.
More likely it’s because it’s school dependent.. some schools more ”on the ball” towards DSA than the others!

Seems like in-person trials would probably be allowed by MOE/MOH now? If so, then a question of whether the schools want them (may vary by school and domain)?

Oh, they changed it to a physical open house! So are they still having the e-open house?

                  Hi parents

Allow me to share these true stories I think they are relevant to DSA context in Singapore.

There was this movie “McFarland” which is based on a true story. In the 80s a teacher got posted to a high school in McFarland California, with students mainly from Latino community. They were mostly unmotivated in their studies. But that teacher noticed many of these students have exceptional running stamina. And he coached them into state running champion in 9 out of the next 14 years. With the confidence gained and discipline instilled in them during their tough training, the whole team become the 1st person in their respective family to attend colleague.

During year 1 of my child Seconday school, the school organise parenting workshop. There was this lady volunteer that gave a talk on her parenting experience. Her son did not do well relatively for his PSLE- scored 22+. But he can run very fast. His talent was well noticed and both ASC and RI rugby teams approach him to join them via DSA. He joined ASC. He celebrated the victories and cried for the defeats together as a team. And he went on to study medicine in NUS. My personal conclusion is being able the develope what he did best (running) toughen him up and gave him the confidence and discipline to develope his academic talent later.

Wishing all students all the best in their talents developments and growth 😄

Interesting observation. I hope we can groom more leaders that way too.
