Means your child already got 2nd choice offer ya? In a way, at least got closure. We are still left hanging.
Already have 2nd choices offer, just wondering is that still got chances to put into reserve list. -
I emailed and called in,replied that they wonโt know who is on the WL,however, for those already received offer from next choice,it is time to give up the dream,as NUS only gave one option, once got it means others are rejected,no WL.BTW, t๐For admission stuffs, they all understand kiasuparents nicely.

If you are a parent with a notion of selling house to finance overseas med course, please don't and do give alternatives a thought.
Singaporean in local med course are automatically given roughly ~80% (~$120k/yr) grant, paying ~20% (~$30k/yr) tie to the 5yr bond. I have yet to know of anyone rejecting the local grant owing to the 5 yr bond from entry point, and the important of that 5 bond has been explained.
If truly interested in med, build up the portfolio early and better the chance to be in the shortlisting.
No need perfect RP, 87.5 is relatively good enough. The issue of candidates with perfect/near perfect RP missing the shortlisting is always the big blank in the portfolio folder.
You need to know that many (high double digit number) overseas med students were granted admission last year to local med school owing to the pandemic. Most med students had to step down a year to match the level of learning. Despite so, they are really fortunate if you could read into the context and change of event.
Matter of facts and not a secret, graduates from overseas are invited to return to SG with some grants to offset their tuition fees. Not all will be given that option, criteria is not known to many.
Hope we can share info that is of merits and we get what is needed to move forward.

The 5 year bond is for the local medicine course while the grant is for those that study medicine overseas.
It is really very difficult to get into medicine locally (both NUS and NTU). You need to get almost perfect A level grades just to be called for the interview (only 1 B allowed for the 6 subjects, I believe). And the success rate for the interview is probably at most 50% only (based on the number called for interview).
Conversely, to study medicine in UK, 2As and a B for A levels should be enough to get you into a recognised medical school there (the top medical schools there of course need better grades). Plus they don't even look at what you get for GP. -
