Should be able to. I recall ICA does not decommission (+ punch hole in) the old passport until the day u collect the new one.
Hi does anyone knows, if my current passport is still valid for more than 6 months, but I had submitted application for a new passport, can I still travel using my current passport while the new passport application is still in progress?
Thanks.
Try calling ICA hotline to double-check? -

Found this in the ICA FAQ (under Passport collection-General):

Can I still travel using my current passport if the new passport is ready for collection?
Answer: Prior to the collection of your new passport, you can continue to use your current passport for travels* as long as your current passport has at least six months of remaining validity.
(*The grant of entry into a foreign country is the prerogative of the foreign immigration authority concerned. The possession of a valid passport does not always guarantee entry to foreign countries.)
Since this is the case, if you haven't even been told that your new passport is ready, you can still use your current one. -

Even if you have been told that your new passport is ready, but you have yet to collect it in person, you can still use your current passport.

So far Msian immigration via car or bus did not ask to see My Sejahtera. Visited over 2 trips Aeon Bukit Indah, Paradigm, KSL, Aeon Tebrau City. Was only asked to sign into MySejahtera once at Paradigm at drop off point ground floor. DH went into Paradigm via carpark level, no check. All eateries and the one massage place I went to did not ask to see MySejahtera.
Had Anyone went into JB nearby malls for shopping n eating already since jb opened in May, How was it ?
Do u need to download their tracing app or show vaccination proof to enter ? -
The reason why currently there’s no use for MySerjahta is there has been a data compromise & ppl dropped the use. Officially, no more insistence on showing yr vaccination status via MySerjahta. If u’re concern, can print a hardcopy of MOH’s certification & bring along with you. We had not use MySerjahta fr the moment we stepped off plane till we embarked to fly home.

A lot hv sadly changed - Std had declined, many bz/shops hv closed, cost hv gone up, many living on the streets & begging. We were very disappointed most fried food such as char kway teow, fried oyster & carrot cake stalls are using low grade oil except for the chendol quality still delish. We moved to restaurant food but as usual I’m affected by MSG. It’s very different even from 6-7 years back when we brought my kids & in-laws there. Even the Chinese cookies (马蹄酥, dao sar piah) hv lost its high quality.

Same same fir some other parts of M’sia it seems many 老潮牌 either closed or their quality had declined. Heard many businesses gone bust during covid fr lack of both tourist & locals during lockdown. Many shops in Jonker Street hv closed. In addition, they’ve difficulties finding good staff after letting go old ones during the lockdown.
We visited a peranakan restaurant previously touted by bloggers but was turned off by their lackluster attitude & the atas Tai Tai serving us who handed us the menu earlier, made a sudden announcement when we were ready to order, that her prices had increased by 15% but had no time to update her 4-page menu. We walked out but blessed thereafter with ano Peranakan restaurant that received us warmly & we made many choices which turn out to be sedap!
Guess only in KL tourists hv rebounded just as the supporting F&B hv sprang up to catch the coming crowd.
DH figures it’ll either take a year or two before they get back on track, if at all.
