I could never figure out hopscotch. Or maybe I did but I forgot. We used to play \"skipping rope\", where we improvised and made the rope from a bunch of rubber bands. I got pretty good at it, can even somersault and do all kinds of \"athletic\" things in it. But we had to stop because we were in the \"hall\" of the 9th floor and some adults were fearful that we might just rocket off the building 😆

Seriously? Rubber bands skipping rope....is it \"Zero Point\" where you put the rope at different levels of our heights and we jumped over it using our various skills including somersault? 😆

The one that I actually forgot is this \"Curry Yong Tau Hu\" game where circles were drawn on the floor but I forgot what we needed to do in the game... The sound \"Curry Yong Tau Hu\" just rings in my ears now with no idea..... :rotflmao:

Yes! \"Zero Point\" is the name and glory to those that play the game!

That's the only game I remember, and I am its master. The curry yong tau hu sounds familiar, but just like your hopscotch, it is lost in the maelstrom of time. But I remember playing marbles (better known as \"gollie\") though I cannot remember the rules. I got this cool black swirly marble which I was so proud of but never dared to use when playing gollie. Oooo, my precious.

Just thinking of simple pleasures....the times when we had so little but had so much fun...
Let me start the ball rolling by sharing some of the fun games that I still relished and cherished until today.... 😂
            My mantra is 活到老,玩到老。。。。

This is the best game which needs nothing except a sandy ground or a piece of chalk. HOPSCOTCH
It seems that over the years, many versions evolved....
Now the version I am familiar with is the one circled in red....the simplest pleasure I call it... 😄
            What's yours?

Yes I remember this red version too. My primary school had many of these marked out on the floor tiles with coloured tape, so that us kids could play on them during recess. Good old days!

I am reasonably good in \"ZeroPoint\", can't claim master but I think I was better in \"Chatek\"...the feather thingy... When I was in China a few years ago, I managed to buy one there.... saw them playing in the Qing Dynasty dramas...it must be a game developed that long ago....

Yes \"Gollie\"..of course!! I think the rules are self-made with friends if I remember correctly... not exactly fixed rules, we could moderate it to our liking coz the idea was to win each other's prized \"gollies\" right... Do you still have them? Mine are all gone to God-knows-where when my mum shifted house... I remember I used to stare at them like they were the most beautiful things in the world then.... :rotflmao: When you look at \"gollies\", you wonder why kids today like to collect 2D uninteresting trading cards for the power and weapons when \"gollie\" is the power and weapon!
              Gen Gap.... 🤷

Wow! Your school is so good to pamper you guys... We used to use sticks to draw on the garden soil in the school or use chalk from the classroom to draw it at a free space in an obscure part of the school and use our shoes to clean off the marks after that.... those were the fun and naughty days. :boogie:

At least we both know the red circled version....apparently, it has been extended to 10 spaces these days for more rigor or longer play. It's actually a good exercise during recess for us to expend all our energy then. 🕺

I also remember Pepsi cola 123…and Dog & Bone (using our uniform belt as the “bone”…nowadays belt compulsorily undetachable so the game is no longer played I think).
