How do we know if the vaccination period has expired for those haven’t taken the booster? I went to check in NIR…can see where /when we get the C vaccine…but if expired…where can we see it?. I could see the ‘active’ next to our ic number…I wonder if the active means Vaccination not expired or the person still alive.

There was news that a local expert did not recommend pple to take the 2nd booster. Hence I hesitate in taking.

Who, and when was this? I recall something like that, but the reasoning was that it wasn't known at the time whether the first booster's efficacy would wane sufficiently to warrant a 2nd booster, and which age groups would need it, not that it was harmful. It was more to placate those who were questioning why only older groups were given a 2nd booster. And I expect the govt won't want to waste resources on jabbing people if it's not needed.

Perhaps they have now ascertained that the 1st booster's protection does wane over time for more age groups, and it may be good to have a 2nd booster.

I'll wait a while and see what experts say (surely they will be interviewed by the press). Since there will be a big initial rush, I think I'll wait a while - we are hoping to travel in Nov, so maybe getting the 2nd booster in around Aug/Sep might be better for us.

Besides going overseas, travelling out of sg & protection - do we need vaccination status for anything else currently?

Yes, large events like for entry to my church services, they still check.

I am going down to a vaccination centre in Jurong West to take the 02nd booster this afternoon. Don't know whether there will be a big crowd there or not.

                        That's what I remembered - not \"no\", just \"maybe but not yet\":
Associate Professor Mak said it is still premature to speculate about whether and when additional booster shots will be needed. He added that additional booster doses are not considered necessary at this time.

That was in Feb, and they must have continued to monitor the situation since.
