Take care Funz…good to hear that it is possible for someone of close proximity not getting it.

That’s good. It is definitely still going around cos I hear of this friend & that friend catching it. Or their kids. Some had to miss their overseas holidays.[/quote]
Since you are also aware the Covid-19 is still around with people catching it, I think your family members should try to stay at home until the last PSLE exams day. It is because even the Omicron is relatively mild but it may affect our brain function.

I have observed my colleagues, friends and boardgames playmates these few months and found that their emotion, memory, response and the use of language, etc., are affected by the Omicron in different extents. Even there is no brain fog, the reaction from their brain are relatively slow than before even after 2 months from their recovery. As you and Zac have spent lot of efforts in the preparation of coming PSLE exam, it is not worthwhile his exam performance to be affected by Omicron. Therefore my advice is the whole family stay at home as much as you can in order to prevent catching Omicron.

Thank u for your advice LNW! I did have some thoughts like: “Holidays are here, just go out & play like everybody else, catch Covid never mind cos got 4 whole weeks to recover. 90 days’ immunity from now will last past the prelims + PSLE, timing is so good!” But who knows, when I told Zac that, he was the one who said: “Er, I get the idea but no thx. I like my clean streak and want to keep it that way.”

We are not exactly hiding at home but not going out every day either. Trying to find a happy balance.

Hope you had lotsa water + a good rest last night & not so thirsty today?

I think all those jabs did their job. There is really no knowing who will get and who will not. I believe each individual's body constitution matters as well. DH's symptoms would be considered mild. Fever for a few days, sore throat, a bit of cough. Paracetamol for fever and body aches, betadine rinse and strepsil strong for his sore throat. A dose of lingyang when his fever remained high the 2nd day and it went away the 3rd day. Lots of fluids, porridge and soups until DH complained that he kept peeing. 😂

By the 3rd day, DH was dying to get out of the house and was frustrated that he was still testing positive. He was finding all sorts of excuse to get out. Ran out of strepsils, no more coconut water, need to go back to our home to collect mail. All these attempts to get out of the house were thwarted by good ole me.

Thank you Zac's mum, I drank too much water and have to wake up a few time to \"pee\" 😆 Still drinking water now.

Catching the Covid to get an immunity for 90 days is never an good idea to me because we don't know how much damage the Omicron could have done on our body.

              Stay safe and healthy 🙏

Agree, every individual respond differently catching the C. It was quite diff for DH as he was plain down with fever, sore throat & the C works to put his mind to anything else but rest. Food was tasteless for him too. All these back in Feb, I can imagine how stiffling it is for one who hv no need for ‘confinement’ rest.

Hope yr hubby hang in there. Few more days to release on 7th day. Good thing he have you as checkpoint. It’s not easy for him to be homebound in isolation either esp no TV to engage him in the room.

Yes, a few days after dh.
Haha... all well passed 10 days and am ART negative (tested yesterday before visiting my dad today)
Now both dont need the 2nd booster and hence am the only one left, still considering the 2nd booster.
