I am not feeling old both mentally and physically even though half of my hair has turned white already. Last Thursday night, I played boardgames until 1100pm and went for late supper with a few playmates at a coffee shop, then reached home around 0100am - my feeling was exactly the same as when I was in secondary school, went out with friends during school holiday. The only difference is now no one would ask me why I reached home so late. :imcool:
I can only go missing during day time.. to reach home 1am guess must be with family members liao, for my side.

I don’t feel physically old or look old…but mentally of course not up-to-date with the teen lingo. DS will laughingly educate me. Ya ASL is no longer used. I don’t know (yet) what the latest picking-up girls lingo is, hopefully that’s a good sign!
I think you are much younger zac's mom..

I still don't know what ASL is! Obviously it happened somewhere between my youth and my kids' youth?

I think the ideal way to age is when you don't need to hide your age, and don't regret how old your are, yet are able to be friends with those who are younger, and connect with them. This means knowing at least some of the ways they communicate, but just as we don't understand them completely, they won't understand us completely - it's OK. Feeling old (physically, at least) is something that will come to each of us sooner or later.

ASL?? Oops... your age is showing. 😂
Yah, I think my age is really showing. I've been connected to the Internet since 1995 😂

ASL isn't really that long ago, is it? Probably mid 90s to Y2K.
Age / Sex / Location.
Commonly used in chatroom, especially IRC.

Yes 25+19 but also becos I do not believe that old age will necessarily bring aches & pains & health issues. Why not believe that one can live to a ripe old age and still be healthy & happy?

My teenage daughter says nobody uses ASL these days. Oh she just learned to use the sign language though. That explains why it means American Sign Language when I asked.

I agree about the healthy and happy part, but I think 'healthy' will mean different things at different ages. There comes a point when the joints start stiffening, digestion isn't as cast-iron, energy levels decline, etc. While we can try to maintain ourselves as best as we can, the human body really wasn't designed to last indefinitely, and wear and tear is unavoidable, even if we can avoid the worst illnesses. But despite all that, we can still be happy to make the most of the health and strength left to us at any point in time.

Yes, I agree. Most (or all?) of the mum here are happy.
