My grandparents used to (this was 40+ yrs ago when I was a schoolgirl). My grandfather sold orchids which he propogated and potted himself, and my grandmother sold some other pretty flowering plants. Both of them would just hang a notice outside their front gate when they had stuff to sell, and neighbours would come and buy from them.
Hope it’ll get better. Just nice to walk outside & look see what new stuff they hv indoors. Got to chat & know some stallholders. Spoke to a young girl & young chaps who cultivated their own plants. I’m thinking someday maybe I shld start selling my plants. 🤔
My grandmother would also propogate many little pots of Japanese roses (that's what she called them) to sell at her church funfair every year. When we saw those tiny pots growing in her front garden, we knew that her church funfair was coming. -

There are some senior couples who grow and sell plants in my area. My girl bought 2 pots from them. -

We will come down to support you when you have a stall! Tell us yah? It is indeed heartwarming to see young people who take pride in growing their lil plants and enjoy gardening.
