During the wkends and if not going out for lunch or dinner, I would cook a big pot say curry or chicken tonic soup for lunch and dinner. I will supplement a dish of stir fry veg or steam salmon.

It's really bad....and I hope they would stop...
My favourite sweet corn in ntuc has raised its price to $1.45 (from $1.35)
A box of frozen onion rings costs $4.45 (from $3.95)
What is going on?
Kampong chicken from ntuc is now $9.10
The roasted chicken in NTUC previously raised from &7.90 to $10.90 has now changed to a new chicken branding called \"Butterfly chicken\" and sold at $12. To me, there is no difference in the chicken except that it is now cut up to open up to look like a butterfly...
Oh, I notice NTUC is using plain plastic bags now...no more printed ones...think cold storage also... I think cold storage did it first.... I guess they also do not need any more marketing... -

CS sells \"butterfly chicken' sometime ago. I tried and not much difference from the usual roasted chicken. In fact, I think the former has lesser meat at the same price of the roasted chicken.

Yes, and i assume this helps ntuc to save some cost on the plastic bags.

Rem in 2023 (?), the supermarkets will start charging the plastic bags... -

I don't think \"they\" (farmers, suppliers, supermarkets?) are putting up prices just for the sake of it (aka profiteering). It's just the way it is right now. I think most people here (on KSP) are fortunate enough that the price hikes are only painful, but don't really require any changes in lifestyle. If the prices really bite, then we can still change what we eat; we won't actually go hungry.
