Don’t know where to post this question, but I’m sure some people here can help!

We have a friend from overseas who will be in Singapore overnight in a couple of weeks time. We plan to pick her up at the airport (flight arrives at around 3+pm) and take her to the Marina Bay area to have a look and say ‘hi’ to the Merlion before going home for dinner.

My question is: where is a convenient place that will have parking at that time on a weekday, and won’t cost the earth? Just for an hour or so.

I am really not a savvy shopper. And I do not like shopping. So I just zoom in and grab what I need and zoom out. I buy because the item is needed so promo or not, I will still get it. If have promo and I noticed, for non-perishables, maybe I might just double the qty if they are things that are frequently used. If not, even if there's promo also I will just get the qty that I need for that moment.
Same same here, I only shop what I really need and never over buy due to promotion.

Gardens by the Bay looks extremely affordable compared to the rest. If she is game to walk a few kms in the hot sun, that is. There is a sky bridge somewhere in GBB that links to MBS.

U can see some other nearer alternatives in this image below:

Thanks! Will send this to the driver (husband). And no, we don't want to walk distances in the hot sun. Actually, we have very little time as someone is coming to see her over dinner, and we have to dabao food too. Just a quick hour to let her see a bit of Singapore. We would have liked her to stay longer, but my younger girl is her good friend and will be away then.

Talk about bad timing - the US girl will be heading back to the US after spending time in Asia, and the Sg girl will be heading back here from the US!

I continue to be amazed by how children are willing to listen/obey teachers (whom they have no prior interaction with) and how much cajoling/nagging/threatening I need to influence my kid
If I were you, I would be proud of your son because he knows how to respect and obey authority and wants to uphold his principles even he is still a primary school student.

A civil servant should not share any Government info to the public before Government press release, a procurement manager should not share the quotation from suppliers to his relatives, a police officer could not disclose any investigation progress, etc.

Since your DS has shared the questions after stuffed with a good dinner by you, this case is closed but try not to do this again. I cannot imagine if one day my doctor would disclose my medical record when someone buy him a fabulous dinner.

I apologise if there is any offensive words.

Is it wrong for a kid to share what was being asked during DSA? The boy is not a civil servant and he did not sign any OSA. After all, DSA questions are not government’s top secrets.

A few years back, when my children time were taking part in the DSA, I appreciated other parents’ sharing here which have been most helpful and in return I have shared what little I know to those who have had similar queries about DSA.

Parents are all here to share and learn, or else KSP won’t be here today. If all these info cannot be talked about, then who is keen to come to KSP?

I think the students are usually asked not to share the questions with others. Although it doesn't carry the force of law, I think it's commendable that some students do feel that they are bound by such instructions.

I also have benefited from other parents' sharing in the past, but I think sufficient sharing can be done without breaching such confidence. Maybe just describing the nature of the subject matter asked about, or the style of questions, without being too specific. That would be helpful enough.

For my understanding, it is the Teachers or Trainers in the DSA schools requested the students not to discuss the questions in the papers. I am not concern the reason why the teachers or Trainers have to do so (maybe same papers for other batch of students in the afternoon). Since it is an instruction from the Teachers, all students have to respect and obey the instruction from schools.
