All About GEP

Dear senior parents of GEP kids, how long did it take for your kids to settle into GEP? Kiddo in P4 seems to be taking a long time to finish his homework, usually bedtime is 8pm but these days goes to bed 1030pm sometimes. Am wondering if this is common or going to be a regular thing? The workload seems more homework but also because distracted (reading storybooks in between doing homework). Wondering how to encourage him to work a bit faster. The math also seems more cheem and find myself helping to explain more as math not really his forte. He doesn’t have math tuition and Wondering if he will cope with work intensity over next few years . Anyone experiencing / experienced similar and have advice to share?

but some schools already marked out 17 August 2022 as the date for round 1 already.

Yup my son’s school (neighbourhood school) interestingly released the date of round 1 as early as in Jan 2022 but MOE website had no info then.
Can I ask if anyone knows if the test is held during school time? My child has something on that afternoon so hope to know ahead if a reschedule of appointment is needed. -

Hi just wanted to ask parents with kids who did all or rounds of the GEP selection tests. Are the GEP selection papers printed in colour or black and white? Thinking that there is a percentage of kids with colour deficiency may face difficulties in the pattern questions if these questions are printed in colour.

I dont think any exam Qs in singapore is printed in colored ink.
