      That means that if I own a HDB now and would like to purchase a private condo for investment, there is no way to avoid paying the 17% ABSD? Definitely have to pay right?

        No way to avoid. That’s why some parents buy under Trust for their babies! :rotflmao:

                    We have those that I mentioned earlier, plus one UOB perpetual bond.

                    There is one similar perpetual from Standard Chartered Bank giving 5.375%pa for first 2 years then change to SORA + 3.8%. We are hesitating to buy as Stand Chart is not a local bank.
